LETS GET IT!!! So here is the idea I have been testing. Those who do not have version 1.0 will have to manually do this until it's implemented as an option if it is at all. So your in the middle of a trade and the trend changes. Like right now on EU... Since it will continue taking trades against this new trend change, what you do is leave that to continue as is. Have a second chart opened with version 1.0 set the same or as you find more profitable/less risky in testing this. At trend change Activate the second chart to start taking trades in direction...

all of these can be solved if GT only makes new version where we can short and long in different chart for same pair for version 1.1 ... its that easy..
the idea is amazing and it will keep our account hedge forever with the minimal DD ever .

I tried to make it before with ver 1.1 only long and only short on same pair in different charts , but the ver 1.1 didnt enter any

{quote} Simply stunning BillYon. I like this idea. I am not sure how it will perform but the concept looks encouraging. Trapping the price between two levels will ensure collecting green pips all the way. Will definitely give it a go on demo.

That's why I said just test the Idea.

It's is risky and will require management as is.

But it's open for discussion to find faults

It is dangerous currently without some fixes and testing of different settings. It will be interesting to see what you guys input for different results.

The other was using the idea only in trend change

-))) whay you think that? the concept of EA i understand, but hedge its dangeros, meaby after some tests... one think what come in my head is...when trend show buy, you buy, after its change to sell, you open with another magic number sell trades, and stay in all this( and buy and sell), and waiting for new trend change..and in this moment you close all the trades and buy and sell..and start from the begin in the last trend change just with buy or just with sell..
i think the best solution.

The best solution will be seen in forward test.

So go for it and lets all compare for the best results.

well..the problem is that we dont have another EA, like you have the first version, to make this test, so its all on your hends..and we just stay and wait the results from you.

So then why are you even commenting?

What Googletrader presented in his EA is not the idea I just shared. Stick to the EA as is and test whatever you can. I presented 3 ideas. You are just focusing on one.

No one here needs to wait for results from me. We do our own testing. Also some still have both versions. I clearly stated that.

I've have been here in the background since he first opened the thread trying all types of stuff. You can do the same with what you have. Many are already making green pips without doing these ideas. So why not put your focus away from anything I share.

Now for the fun stuff. If you use ver 1.1 and 1.0 in opposite directions on the same pair. When one goes into DD the other is making pips along the way Lets Get the setting optimized and meet in Tahiti The lot size can virtually be the same because it's pseudo hedging...in a way You will see price trapped between 2 target prices nearly all the time unless a target recently was taken out. Hey Spyderman you sparked this idea!!!! Thanks!!! Test test test...No live on this please!!! Lets iron out the kinks first!!! {image} {image}

Okay, let's optimize this beast.

So assuming you have version 1.1 and 1.0 you want to set up one version to trade long (when the trend is of course up) and the other to trade short.
So let's call 1.1 long and 1.0 short.

So you have a grid open in 1.1 long and trend changes to short, so now you start trading that on 1.0
So what to do with 1.1...
You can continue allowing "Trendchange" to take long entries to shorten your TP (using whatever multiplier you've optimized)...or...
You can put "Trendchange" to 0 so no more long trades to create more DD...or...
You can put "Trendchange" to 0 and hedge the original longs so that grid is essentially frozen...

Opinions?

I've just signed up for a new VPS and installed ver 1.1
Unfortunately the EA is not able to recognize the trend and does not take any trades
As you can see in the attached image it shows UNKNOWN on all the charts
Any suggestions on what could be the reason for this?
