If you don't plan to make money then you just release the ex4 (which cannot be decompiled anymore) and be done with all the mess. I thought there was a chance he would just use our email addresses either to sell as leads or to try and generate some new accounts as an introducing broker which could have covered his costs. I think probably not enough people profited and so he went to plan B. This sucks. I had some settings that were working out ok but I am not going to pay for a grid ea. What he might consider doing and I would be willing to do this is just to simply give a license to anyone who opens a live account with x broker. Then he has a motivation. I would expect to be able to run the ea on unlimited accounts on one ip though so I could test.

He could have been straight up from the start and all would be good.

He's selling the community trend indicator. Nothing more! I have some good setting as well but again, without full control it would be idiotic for me to run live on this. I suspected a connect to scammy Binary Matrix Pro software and it's community trend feature ...

I never trust anyone so it's all a part of the game...

I did notice to his credit that the ea is still working. That is to say you only have to pay only if you want to upgrade. I wonder how long that will last though. He should let us know if he plans on shutting that down and when. I thought he had disabled it but I guess the market was just slow and didn't reach my trend confirmation setting. It certainly does make him look pretty bad on that day that he was labeled commercial since FF was right all along. He complained bla bla but really that was just the day that he was exposed.

If I had the time I would code this myself. It's a grid with a few twists. He places one trade per M1 candle using market orders rather than limits like most grids do. He uses a trend confirmation which just is the amount of pips from the last high or low depending on direction. Then his last feature is the main one which is the trend. He has not kept this completely secret in that it represents traders. This could easily be duplicated (or close to it) using various broker web sites' sentiment which is what I think he does. Some have suggested that he uses COTS data but I don't think this is true since that updates only once a week but the fact that he only used pairs on USD lends that to at least be part of the calculation. He probably has to run a server because if he were to have everyone checking broker web sites (from each ea) all the time then his ea would probably be banned from drawing the data from those web pages. Instead his server checks all the time and all of the eas get the information from there which doesn't raise any red flags. There are ways around this issue.

I have noticed though that even though the trend indicator represents traders and is not really an indicator based on math, it still acts that way. That means that anyways a regular indicator could probably be used instead.

About version 1.1 - it will work until Friday, 1 May 2015 (inclusive).

So, who trades on real accounts have ability to safely close all orders and switch to the new version.

Unfortunately, I understand your indignation concerning my decision. But.. Later I'll be back to give more extensive comments.

No need. We know what you did. It's not like you can say that you couldn't afford the server bills because numerous people have offered to pay and I myself had offered to code for you some of the changes for FREE. There are no sob stories. The only thing you can say is that you want to make a profit just like everyone and you have that right but there is no need for you to say that because we know this already.

This thread almost died since it was moved to commercial subforum.

You all noticed that sometimes EA was unable to get data for trading due to server overload, for example on previous week the data was frozen for whole day. Such problems does not affect thousands "demo traders" due to virtual money, but it's critical for real traders.

The subscription fee will allow me to filter thousands "demo traders/players" (that generate endless traffic) and provide high quality tools and services for my subscribers (real traders).

As i said above, I understand that many of you use EA on real accounts and still have not decided for themselves to use it in the future, you can safely use old EA to the end of this week.

Would have been nice to give greater consideration to everyone on the forum who helped optimize and promote your tool. Could have offered a deep discount to those who had been using the EA
