I was referring to the intraday flows today but indeed, there is some serious business going at these levels no doubt about it, especially in oil and equities. On the second part, yes 1.127x it is cracking my levels of patience on how much and how strong its holding. Whoever its sitting there are not the "usual suspects". Its either a very deep pocket player or something extremely fundamental that I am now aware of is going on.

I want to clear the greek news and test the level as Im pretty sure it wont hold but until then I am honestly bemused about the strength of such a level ....

In any case, conference confirmed to start in 6 minutes ....We really need to get over this Greek Soap Opera season for the euro to move out of the current range...

They are basically just pushing the greek problem out by 4 months........what a spectacle!!!

Nothing can strengthen the greek economy....lazy bums that dont like to pay tax! Aint goin to fix itself in 4 months!

Ignore standard support/resistance as determinants for trend. Look at news from Greece, and compare each of the major updates to the price movement in eur/usd. Honestly, it's been driving the entire market this week. Intraday trend from Greek updates are the real market makers right now.

And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The keys to the eur/usd kingdom is yours, if you can trade the news. If you don't want to listen and short right now, go ahead-but just have wide margins, since Greece is the proverbial wrench in plans right now. You'll win eventually, and price will likely test 1.10 at some point in the year-but god knows WHEN exactly that'll happen, since Greece just got a fucking extension, which drags the volatile market further.

The funny thing about greece is (and I know some people will think i'm foolish for saying this) but it's pretty much irrelevant. It's meaningless. What matters is the ECB is going to print tons of currency and inflate the euro. That's not going away. Also to add to it is the FED tightening. Europe is in a depression. And the market cares about this stupid greek nonsense? Seems stupid to me, but what do I know.

No, you're absolutely NOT stupid. Don't let anyone tell you that. Normally, it's considered suicide trying to follow prices by going straight in the assumed direction of news.

It's just that this is an exception, since the potential fallout of a country leaving the Euro would send shockwaves throughout Europe and the finanial market. Unlikely, but annoyingly loud if it does happen.

You're completely right about the Euro; it's going downhill-but on a overall basis. It might take a while for the fundamentals to get going though, since Europe is dragging the talks with Greece.

I could just take a short right now, leave it for months, and come back when market goes below 1.12 to make a pretty penny-but I might have to suffer dozens or even hundreds of pips in ongoing losses before price dips. I'd rather avoid tying up available funds. They're bad for trading psychology, and prevent you from spending the money on more worthwhile trades.
