Can the USDJPY complete the SHS pattern? If the answer is yes....maybe we can get 157 pip (Short) and maybe enter to a bear Zone..... but the dollar is still strong....jajaajajajaaj

Yes, can be seen. HaS pattern on the mid. That guy is a bit weirdo though, has dislocated right shoulder . But these patterns are never precise. Either way, is pressing on the mid and should it break it goes poof. Am loading longs btw - bail out first stops 118,15, 2nd 117,7

Besides beeing a dislocated shoulder, it is also Cup n handle.

Hi there,

What does the "cup and handle" formation imply in this example? It's not terminology that I'm familiar with. Thanks for your own post.

So at start I would like to say it is mathematically prooved none of these patterns work - I mean both Head and Shoulders and Cup n Handle. Both patterns in fact signal the same - which is pressing on some support or ressist. Usually these work on higher timeframes, like h4+, so case you see pattern and got confirmed close break, should break S/R. However, as told mathematically it aint working. Its just your eyes. But can be watched as a supporting signals to confirm your long term bias. So for example when I am long term buyer, am mostly focusing on ressistances above me breaking. Supports patterns now failing, coz we are in long term uptrend. So am watching these like since m15 chart, but lots of time these low timeframes just noise. I call it nanopatterns, and is more of a hobby for me, I like to watch them. Hope it helped a bit, T

4hr charts never established a lower low below 118.50.


Went long again at 119.25, stops below 118.80.

Looking for 121.50 then 125.

The only thing that works is good money management + sticking to strong trends. At least that's it for me. Some indicators do work sometimes and are pretty high% with the trend as well. but overall good money management and sticking to strong trends works. And even that has some failures ie. trend change

Agree money management is most important. Lost abit in the bearish call earlier....
