Privacy at public forums is important. Even some active member i know in FF says he always makes FF postings at a seperate PC because his PC is regularly being hacked (believe or not). People don't share any kind of personal information here.

I have had the same problem-- always late to the party. One reason is that the indicators lag and by the time you see a valid signal, price action has already started to swing back on the smaller time frames. What I do now is once I see a valid signal on the hourly then drop down to the 5 minute chart and look for an entry off of that. More often then not when I check the lower time frame, price has temporarily started to retrace and I need to wait for a fresh entry signal on the smaller time frame. This especailly true in the NY session where news and chop seems to prevail.

In a broader context there has been some sniping at senior members lately; my experience here is that they appear to be honest and very generous with their time and insigts. However nearly all are using skillsets for more advanced than simple TDI crosses. TDI crosses as a stand alone only work in nicely trending markets and markets are rarely that co-operative.

Bottom line, traders need to use every insight possible to tilt the probabilities in their favour.

Your not helping the situation!

Personally, I have learned a lot from Emmanuel! Every suggestion that he & others make I apply
to my charts & see what I think about their suggestion. Then I adjust my charts accordingly.

I have posted winning trades & losing trades. But imho this is not a call service where I show
all of my trades & call the market for everyone. It is not important to me if people show
their results. What is important is how the method looks on my charts.

Here is the bottom line...it takes time to learn how to trade & get profitable. Everyone is different,
everyone is at a different starting place. A person has to do the hard yard's & grind it out.
Tms is a excellent method. Their are no 100% guarantees, but we are trying to teach people
as best we can. This is not a black & white, right or wrong environment. We happen to be
living in a gray area. That is the nature of the beast!

I'm here to help people learn how to trade with a really good method. I like people & I like
trading. I'm here voluntarily to share my knowledge. This is how I learned how to trade.
I would suggest that we all try to help one another & do it in a positive way! All this
negative stuff is a total waste of time...

I agree...I do not know who made the (complaints made)?
I thought some of those post were excellent posts. Especially
the history of Tms.

Some of the rules are no attacking other traders. But helping people
& telling the history of Tms (complaints made) is way out of bounds, imho.

Got there my post where only indicator. There are no words. A good indicator, but so what? Who would not like to nevbai enjoyed this indicator?

Hi SJ

Your commitment towards helping others is commendable, that is not in doubt whatsoever by me.

However, I still stand by my comments regarding posting timely charts that can be progressed etc etc. Anything less quite frankly is as I said...pointless, which I think is more or less the same point realjumper was also making.

Now that my browser is functioning properly, I expect to be posting charts as I have always done as soon as I've made a trade or two....I think those will be a little more interesting than simply posting all winning historical charts that anyone can do in my book.

Lets leave it there for now

Someone correct me if I am wrong. But I do not think you should post live charts as it will be seen as giving investment advice or recommendation. And unless your are licensed to do this it would not be wise to do this. im sure SJ or any other FF member would not like to be issued some kind of notice from some regulatory agency explaining why they are giving investment advice while not licenced to do so. Granted a disclaimer at the bottom may do the trick but why open yourself up to that headache. Again someone correct me if I am wrong about this.

Hi Lca:

Posting live trades (calls) in a public forum and giving investment advice are two different things.

If I say "IBM is going up so borrow some money from the bank and buy as many shares as you can" I am clearly giving people an investment advice and there are legal issues involved in that case.

Now if I say "EUR/USD has touched an important support area so I believe it's going up and I am going to buy 10 lots at $1.1425" (for example) that's an entirely different story, I am merely posting (publishing) my opinion about the direction of the Euro.

Thanks Next, it was not the easiest week. I'd said I was unlucky on Monday and Tuesday getting stopped out by a single pip, but I was equally very lucky with both my wins. Wednesday's trade came within 2 pips of my SL and went on to win. Friday hit my TP and immediately turned. Hoping for a steadier week this time round

Thanks Griff, the results speak for themselves... I should add that I've spent today going through said "data" and made the decision to alter my trade plan. More on that next week

It is a gray area which the NFA or some other regulatory body has been quietly cleaning up. I know a trader who was "warned" about posting live trades on a public forum. Not going to mention any names or which forum, it is not FF by the way, but he was told not to post live trades with the reason why he took the trades because it can be perceived as giving advice/recommendation. However if he post his trades 15 to 30 minutes after the fact he was not giving advice but an opinion with his reason. But because it is not real time it can not be seen as giving advice or recommendation to follow him.

Actually your IBM example is more opinion than advice or recommendation and your EUR example is more advice/recommendation than opinion. Why? The details you provided. You gave me no details or reason why IBM will go up. And it is your opinion that I should go to the bank and buy as many shares as I can. However in the EUR example you gave me the reason why I should buy it, it touched an important support area so you feel it will go up. Opinion yes but you backed your opinion with I am buying 10 lots. More support of your opinion and this can be seen as a recommendation that I too should buy the EUR because you bought 10 lots. A gray area but nevertheless it can be seen as advice/recommendation.

I do not post my charts for personally reason. But then again I do not post often. Usually I read the board when I am done trading for the day. I am a scalper and I have been doing this for some time. I use the TMS system with good success. But I also want to continue to grow and learn. And I actually get something out of the post of successful and unsuccessful trades. And when I read a post from a newbie posting a chart and asking an opinion it helps me see why I would take the trade or why not as I try to go back on my chart to see how the trade developed. I get a lot out of the post from SJ, lastingwell and others. I am gratefully that they take the time out of their busy schedule to post on this thread and help. I may not be a newbie but I still want to grow as a trader and grow using TMS.

Edit: I should add that your EUR example can be an opinion if you leave out the charts. Here you do not show the important support area but only stating that it has touched an important support area and not giving me any reason other than you you think it touched an important support area. But by posting a chart you are giving me more reasons to buy and this can be perceived as a recommendation/advice. Sorry for the off topic comments.

Hello everyone,
The Australia market just opened.
Here are some pictures of the Aud/Usd chart.
(Daily, 4 hour & 1 hour)
What I see the Aud/Usd is still in a downtrend on the daily chart,
(According to the long term guppy's). The 4 hour chart
might be getting ready to roll over. I would watch this
chart & see what happens.
