{quote} okay cool. so this means I have to check the robot and when my daily target is reached I have to switch it off. Is there any chance to add a feature like "Stop Trading After Target Is Reached"?
Ignored
Mr.Ma.

The EA as described didn't offer a daily target. also from the look at your chart you weren't even using the daily timeframe.

It's a cycle target. Once cycle is completed, the EA will start a new cycle using the "Maximum seconds to activate" input parameter.(number 35 on the first post)

Let me know if this not clear.

{quote} As I mentioned before for said reasons, I would not recommend going below H4 time frame. However, If your willing to try lower time frames, you need to consider a couple of things: Min_Pips_Between_Orders // Min. Distance in Pips or Points between orders : This parameter should be set intelligently so that the EA doesn't open a new order unless previous order is already in good profit Next_Lot_Factor // Next Order Multiply Factor : I prefer this parameter to be less than 1, so that next order has a smaller lot size than previous one. because...

Abokwaik , Thanks for your reply and guidance. but about parameter you mentioned (min. Distance in pips or points between orders) , it seems that the EA opens the next position or trade with the distance i have set , even if it is not in profit .

Hello People,

I woke up this morning to find that my VPS service provider decided to RESTART the VPS without notice overnight...so I awoke to a BLANK VPS Desktop...

Anyways...I have reset my 832+ accounts (hyperbole) and now everything seems to be in working condition again. Can't say exactly HOW this will affect HA_Rider or if it will (since I operate it via a Daily Chart).

Anyways, we'll see won't we.

Regards,

Ty

A solution to avoid the platform to be closed definitively when the VPS is restarted is to set a Windows task at startup : start the MT4 platform ... so as soon as the VPS is restarted, the platform will be back and running.

{quote} When trading multiple pairs I think it will be better to target a gain/loss percentage/amount instead of a fixed SL. This way you know exactly your R:R ratio.

Following on from this, if you're using both a fixed stop loss and gain / loss percentage (as I've been trialling), note that if one of your orders does hit a SL, the remaining orders may potentially carry on until they hit the equity loss target (e.g. 30%), meaning that in one day you could lose 30% + whatever % was lost on the other order.
1 pip at a time ... if the entries are strong, the rest will follow ...

Correct.

And could even be worse when new positions open on the same closed pair in the same previous direction because HA is still with the same color.

currently RISK can not be controlled when using both SL and LOSS% together.

I repeat, HA Rider was not developed as a basket EA.
Some implementations may look like a basket in terms of loss control and profit target.

Ok guys,
my VPS is up an running now with 3 MT4s and different settings.

#1 is testing trade entries on H1 with direction of H4 and HAS settings 2,6,2,1
#2 is testing trade entries on H4 with direction of D1 and HAS settings 2,6,2,1
#3 is testing trade entries on D1 with direction of D1 and HAS settings 2,6,2,1

on all 3 I have setup a 100 € demo account, trading 11 pairs with a 0.02 lot size and gain/loss setting of 50%/25% to have a 2:1 ratio.

later in the day I will try to setup the trade explorers.

Risky. This is considered high leverage (0.02 × 11 =0.22) for a €100 account.

Well...you could change your HAS settings macdh4 but just be aware that "faster" HAS settings = More "fake Outs".

But, test the settings and decide - we'll all learn from that no doubt.

I have decided to give a small twist to the TyLamai's method, which I chose to trade manually.

It is really not difficult to glimpse through 15 pairs for five minutes at midnight , and I am trying to wean off Windows and MT4, so an MT4 EA is not an option for me. I also use a small live [email protected] account which offers only 50:1 leverage, so cannot have too many large orders.

So what I do is the following: I look at the previous days' Heikin Ashi candles and particularly the PA - doji/spinning tops which almost always occur at tops/bottoms. I choose pairs that are trending (at least one directional HA candle after the doji candle), and also look at those that were showing the squeeze yesterday (smaller directional candle after a strong candle in the same direction, those are in my opinion the most likely to breakout). I pick 4-5 most promising trades based on the 15 pairs, and trade them in such an amount that the used margin is about 50% of balance. My pairs from yesterday were AUDCAD short, EURAUD long, GBPUSD long, AUDJPY short. The risk is still much smaller than in the explorers above due to smaller leverage. I don't use SL or TP, this is just a small account, that I don't care about losing. I'll also avoid NFP Fridays.

What I can say that this was probably the easiest and quickest way to earn >100 pips that I have seen in Forex. I am quite happy to compound the smaller win percentage everyday. This requires no fancy indicators, no worrying, just 5 minutes of work from my tablet in the evening. I have only just started this, but I am already quite optimistic about this method.

Cheers and thanks,
k

Hi,
I am also on a work such a trading style. But a trade style of this needs also many tests (TF,HA or HAS settings, start of corrrect trade time, other filters like Stochastic)
But I like the way, trading not many often and trade with many pairs protect growing with good MM. İncrease lot sizes eventuell to the Equity of the next day. I know at least if you can grab daily average 40 pips and if you have a good MM a 100 USD can grow agressively to 100.000 USD in few months, lets say 5 months. The only need is a paper work (excel) for the MM to input daily wins and calculate next day lot size. The only point is can we made the 40 pips and + on daily work.
So I want to ask you to entry; On evening (midnight) do you have H1 open or D1, please can you detail me the exact entry decision. For sure the entry decision can be adjusted of London open . On your chart do you have HA or HAS and what are the settings input, according do this do you use any kind of second filter like Stochastics, Macd to avoid any ranging pair and catch the strong Heiken Ashi Reversal which can give the best possible profit target. 15 pairs because of spreads are too much, but I will use 7 pairs and will target a minimum daily 40 pips basket.

Hi, for this I just look at the daily at midnight my time (GMT+1). Note that I do it with a decreased leverage as compared to TyLamai's and Rooi's explorers, and this is why I am trying to pick the "best" pairs. I am not sure if I am outperforming the EA with this procedure, but that would be the idea... In any case, I am not using the HA smoothed or any additional indicator, nor am I looking at any lower time frame (simplicity over optimization...). Just the Heikin Ashi price action on the daily chart as described above. Simpler is usually more robust.

I guess just do what you feel is best. Also note that there are always things we do not know - for example yesterday's JPY shock - so never risk what you cannot lose.

Good luck,
k
