GU M5 counter trend pullback scalp +7.2 (5 lots) with new red H1 candle to target 1.53500 key level..(just going for multiple small pip scalps easy to accomplish very quickly. Basically scalping the H1 candle on lower M5 or M15 t/f)

Just wanted to show that it is possible for an average trader like me (we don't have to wait to be super like LW to bag +50 green from M5 (my entry was not so good as price moved back before it reached my PT, where I should have waited for TDI crossed again with price created lower high)

Similar with EU, again I should ve waited... but as I saw TDI angle was too good. Note that I only use M5 around NY/US cash market as price moved too fast

Yeah, if I entered 2nd signal when TDI crossed and price had lower high, it would be a lot nicer to show . I have learnt to be more patient again

Asbolutely right!! If you hadn't said it was m5 nobody would have known which timeframe you were in. They are exactly the same, just less pips per candle and per swing. If you treat them that way then anyone can do it. If you're new to trading its by far the best timeframe to learn on (on demo) which is what I did, everything happens faster, so patterns appear faster and more often. When the ATR is as high as it is on some of the pairs its a great way to trade. A month in m5 is like having your 10,000 hours practise in H4 and D1.

I never look at the gradient, its just a lot slower moving average, so I wouldn't dream of waiting for that one to turn in a direction before taking a trade. Its very useful for watching where the tdi support/resistance might be but other than that no.

Cool. Thank you. I was asking because I learn't a lot about the tdi in recent weeks. There is a lot more to it than the red/green cross and you and lickia seem to have your entry's nailed so thought I would pick your brains.

Congrats likica, I must confess that I was missing your charts today
It is difficult to have patience when you have good setups! The cross you took in this chart, besides having a good angle, it happened below the 50 level and below the mbl, indicating a weak buy, as far as I'm concerned. Correct me if I'm wrong. The only downside is that perhaps you miss some moves being more conservative, but it is possible to get better prices or higher probability.

So size doesn't matter, and it's ok to only be in for a few minutes?

Yes, I am in agreement with lastingwell as posted earlier. Although, I do suggest before attempting these quick small scalps to spend time on a DEMO and become proficient with the speed of the PA and trade only a couple of pairs and become very familiar with their movement prior to going live. I have been scalping for many years with many hours of screen time and found quick pips in/out less stress then watching/monitoring trades for long periods. Just my style, surely not for everyone. Each trader must find for themselves what fits their personality and time available to trade and make their style and charts their own....trading is not a "one size fits all" business.

Exactly right cigarguy, demo demo and more demo because the speed is the one thing you have to get used to, but if you get used to it, then watching the daily charts is like watching paint dry
