By the way it was nerve-racking to hold EUDUSD and watch the whipes lower. I even did a scout but gave up the trade and rescued myself with break-even.

AUDUSD Short Trade Open:

Scouts. After the "news" whack job, and when the price came back to "highs", I made first Scout entry. The trend on M15 is clearly down. This "high" did not hold, however. With the London open came some interesting PA. First the MMs whack-whipped price to capture all existing liquidity for building positions. The clue here was that they extended the range up, not down, indicating they are bears seeking short orders at higher prices. Then the MMs began to methodically work the price back up, making PA look bullish in order to suck in more longs for additional liquidity to build short. You can see that the second time they took the price up to yesterday's low,.......WHAM! They pulled the rug! Meaning that their concentrated shorting - per all available liquidity to do so on the price queue - quickly caused the price to drop again.

What will happen when the USD releases arrive? We cannot know, but so far the price action seems bearish to me, even though the MMs are supporting the price, giving PA that "upwards" appearance.

FFCal Indicator

Sonikers,

I notice that those of you experiencing the failure of data to populate are all "overseas" from FF. It is not the indicator, as mine continues to work. But, I am stateside, as is FF. I see two possibilities.

One, maybe FF has separate servers for overseas customers, which maybe they are working on in such a way as to cause this. (Edit: Because some continue to have problems and others continue not to, this seems a likely cause.)

Two, maybe you all have contracted a virus?

And maybe there are other possibilities, too. I just do not have an answer, except to say that mine - and others, too - are not experiencing any problems with this indicator.

You can always submit a "Contact" message to FF (see link at bottom of every FF page) explaining your location and your problem. They do not offer corrections to indicators, but if they know you were okay a few days ago, and since then you have no data,....well, they might look to see if they are the cause of this.

Meanwhile, you can always keep open a browser page containing the actual FF Calendar.

-tah

It's the same problem as Mauro-J, maybe a server problem. When does it happen?

Hi,

I faced FFCal issue too yesterday and just to share how I fix it.

1. Close MT4
2. Go to MQL4 --> Files look for FFCal-News.xml (backup is recommended)
3. I renamed it by adding .old behind
4. Launch MT4 application again and the FFCal should appear. You will see that a new FFCal-News.xml file generated in the folder.

Hope this help.

1) Shut down your Mt4. Go to your MT4 folders in your c: drive - inside MQL4 folder -> Files folder -> Delete the FFCal-News.xml file. Do not have to worry as a new xml file will be automatically generated when you start up your MT4.

2) Download CC cleaner and perform a run cleaner including all your web browsers.

3) Once done, open up Mt4, everything should work fine now.

This works for me and I have been doing the above every Monday morning before I open up my Mt4 platform.

Hi guys, please traces back my post for solution. I'm very sure the indicator is working fine and it's not an oversea problem, cause I have multiple mt4 setup. The probably reason is the .xml file created by the indicator fails to refresh and fetch data from the website. This could be due to clutter on our internet explorer or our window os. The objective is to unclog it and make sure data follow smoothly from fffactory. One possible way is to replace corrupted .xml files with a working one created by our ffcal indicator. Or u can listen to craze advise to install ccleaner to clean up ur explorer.

I've read the ffcal code and I think this is a possible solution. Keep us posted once u've tried. At least mine is now back to normal now.

Glad that our community is flooded with good hearted people coming in with solutions
