{quote} Ouch, just came back and saw all orders closed out at 50% loss! Ha.. luckily it's just demo... I had no SL.. but equity loss set at 50%.. perhaps the SL really should be set to prevent such cases. But I looked back at the trades and most are loosers.. so even if SL was set, it would just close out the basket earlier, and pile on more orders the next day. Wonder if this is a good setting? Maybe it would be good for the EA to calculate the stop loss automatically via the previous high or low and set it accordingly? But we may end up with bigger...

When trading multiple pairs I think it will be better to target a gain/loss percentage/amount instead of a fixed SL. This way you know exactly your R:R ratio.

Hi Abokwaik, Today there was a sharp reversal movement in GBPJPY and i was running the EA on M15 chart using the H1 filter, (the setting of the HAS ind was the same as HAS setting in the EA). but after reversal and color change of the candle , the EA opened buy trades several times!! and after a few minutes stopped. Is this normal ?! if " yes" , how can i solve this problem? Green pips to you {image}{image}
Ignored
As I mentioned before for said reasons, I would not recommend going below H4 time frame.

However, If your willing to try lower time frames, you need to consider a couple of things:

  1. Min_Pips_Between_Orders // Min. Distance in Pips or Points between orders : This parameter should be set intelligently so that the EA doesn't open a new order unless previous order is already in good profit
  2. Next_Lot_Factor // Next Order Multiply Factor : I prefer this parameter to be less than 1, so that next order has a smaller lot size than previous one. because last orders in the chain have bigger chance of hitting SL.
  3. Your profit target should be reasonable compared with the time frame you're trading. Smaller time frames ---> smaller profit ..

EDIT : Also :

  1. Max_Open_Orders // Max. Open Orders per pair : The higher the number the higher possibility of hitting profit target or loss limit

Today the big problem was the change of note in this regard JPY 100 € with loss of 70% of capital.
This account closer to reality shows.

This is not one of your accounts shared on Trade Explorer. I understand that opening balance was 100.
Trading 16 pairs with 0.02 each = 0.32 (total lot size) on a 100 account is Very High Leverage.

Check my previous notes about lot size to balance ration (aka leverage).

Still you are doing fine with your 2 shared accounts that use lower leverage.

{quote} Sure i'm happy i could help ^_^ sorry i didn't see this earlier i must have missed it by the way if you have the pro version (sadly i don't own it my self) you can go to the quant editor part and make a new condition in the "equity control" for your money management rules i attached the picture to this post hope it helps you ^_^ {image} by the way i think if you apply this system to range bars, your result will improve i have the necessary means to back test the system with real ticks on range bars if you guys want i can test...

Me neither ,

Most probably I will go for an MT5 version of the EA to test it on a portfolio.

Because the portfolio results I posted earlier from EA Analyzer do not reflect the actual EA behavior when using Gain% and Loss%.

Thanks for your follow-up.

Have a nice day,

Yes I understand, just want to get closer to reality, if I start trading real'll have to balance 500 no more and perhaps with 0.02 lot 16x = 0.32 perhaps with maximum loss of 50% of the bill, but this will only happen after further testing and more and more tests.

As i said before why don't you guys try this EA on range bars? from what i know nearly all trade following EAs work better with rangebar charts compared to normal / time frame charts

I second your suggestion.

Guys, any one can try it on Renko or CRB, and share the explorer or results?.

{quote} The other possible good option (if not running a trailing stop etc) is to at least set profitable trades to BE at some point so that winners don't become losers.

I was thinking almost the same ...

What about this? :

If the "basket" suffers a loss% higher than gain% (in case your settings were so) or it came near the loss% and came back the EA should try to close the "basket" either at a pre-defined "recovery loss%" , BE or a lower gain%.

I will see to implement such an option in next version, if you guys see it valid.

Thanks for your input,

Yes, I will do it
Will setup a couple of MT4s on the VPS to see how it goes and will setup an trade explorer here.
What I think is another stone in our way to make this baby even more successfull on a renko chart is to find out which is the best renko brick size for each pair.
A lot of testing in front of us though

WE WILL MASTER IT

No worries mate!!
A VPS is simply an external "PC" which is running 24/7 around the clock. and you can connect it through your PC
This means the EA is running non stop and can work with a constant market data flow.
So at the end it means that your home PC doesn't need to run all the time.
Furthermore on a VPS you dont have to fight with problems like internet disconnection etc...

Hi abokwaik

first of all thank you for your job.
It seems to me there is something not properly working on trailing stop.

On sell orders it doesn't work. On buy orders sometimes gives error 1.

I need to check more closely, but for now that's all.

Thanks to all
