finally listen to speculate on. The accounts are protected and the clients who have effective January 15 generates deficits were directed at Alpari. Therefore Alpari is bankrupt as a company. And not for the accounts of clients. All in a green area hehehe. So please no negative speculation more! Whoever does not understand the whole, has already lost in our world! is arrived? Even with the stupid people? oh, has the brilliant Trader deleted his account? Maybe he knows has crashed today? hahaha

I totaly agree with Jizzyjay's oppinion. At the moment we have no case for KPMG work, actions. I am waiting for tomorow, I hope there will be some good news, if any at all.

OK, you're right, it's a fair cop, let's just take your advice, sit in the dark, do nothing and get robbed of our hard earned cash.

Whatever we do do, just be sure not to make any calls, write any letters, file any complaints. We'll just take your advice and do.... Nothing......

that thread is different because we will not be discussing news, and merits and demerits of doing any thing and not doing any thing. man i have been following you silently for very long time, there was time when i used to open FF just to read your opinion on cable, and thats how i became regular visitor of FF forums. i am one unknown guy who just become active after alpari insolvency, but you are one respected and senior trader on FF. you have many followers including me. people might not take me serious but everyone will listen you. it is no good sitting and doing nothing(surely you have been doing whatever you can do individually). so please join us together and lets raise our voice. at least our story should be on news. I am not perfect, my opinion might not be best, so lets ignore what i say, but we should agree that doing nothing or individually is not effective . leave funds, so far our questions are not being answered.we can ignore that new thread, but doing nothing collectively is no option

Richard Heis, joint special administrator of the company and partner at KPMG, said in a statement on Thursday that the administrators would continue to speak to buyers about sales of other parts of the company's business.
"We are delighted to have completed the disposal of the intellectual property assets, which will recover value for the company's creditors," he said.

I suggest you read the whole thread before making statements like that.
If you think following your course of action will get you your funds any quicker then crack on.
Nobody has robbed me, I know where my funds are and I know the processes that have to be followed in these situations because I have taken the time to educate myself so ill stay away from all that thank you very much.
Yes I will sit back and do nothing. When KPMG put something in front of me then ill act accordingly.
Phonecalls, letters and complaints will not get me my money any quicker.
Your fighting a loosing battle, even worse your fighting it incorrectly.
I reckon in a few days you will settle down and reality will kick in.

So if i'm not wrong that means they have recovered losses of creditors?? if yes is a really good news. We should to be glad about this.

Hello everybody,

I've been following this thread for the past 2 weeks and boy there is some good energy here!

I had around 7k USD in my account before Alpari went bust, I managed to request a withdrawal but was never confirmed.

Anyway I feel the reason everybody is going crazy its because we don't have a clear picture on when will have our money back.

I opened an account with Oanda and they estimated that I should see my money back in around 90 days (that was 2 weeks ago) and that I the administration fees would not be as massive as everybody here is thinking. So i'm confident that I will see at least 80% of my funds back if not 90%.

So far the only hint of a time line is the "Several Weeks" it will take to design the claims portal which is as vague as it can be. That announcement was made last friday, by now they should have a more concise plan for this portal, including an estimated launch date.

My Opinion is that we as clients have a right to know this plan, at least to have an estimated date for this portal so we can stop pulling our hair.

KPMG has been updating their notices and reports each Friday, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to see if there is anything relevant regarding this portal, if not I'm going to start firing emails and maybe call them (calling through skype is cheap, I'm from Mexico)

If you help me we can get a date for our peace of mind, and do not take "several weeks" for an answer.

Also, if we don't feel satisfied with their answer, then I think we have a valid reason to fill a complaint against the administrators.
