Walked away with 65 pips and that was spread-betting. forgot to mention it was on the Cable.

I made +55pips on Cable and +1 pips on Euro pullback. Good enough to be happy.

think it was actually someone else that said they didnt care, cos altho its rare, a no news number is always a possibility .

and you gotta admit, a losing trade isnt as bad as an "uhhh, ok,..umm now what?" trade. least you know you gotta get out of the former.

Havent come across James007 so i must look him up and say hello. Nice thing about the spread-betting, the taxman cant touch a penny. it just makes it that much sweeter.

Hi forexplayer, and thank you. I hope you had a good trading day too.

First broker that I use is FIBO Group Canada. I put a buy order 1 min before the NFP release and it was filled at the exact price I wanted. I had a 55 pip TP on that order which also was filled exactly to the pip. No slippage, no spread widdening. No problems.

Second broker I use is Oanda. I put buy order here too, 1 min before the news, it was filled correctly. I also had a TP of 55 pips but it wasn't hit becuase Onada widenned the spread (1.5 before news, 10 pip during the news). When the price riched 50 pips from my entry, it paused a bit, than retraced, I chickened out and close the order with 35 pips profit. It took them 1 second to close it, so no problems in this area too.

Almost forgot to add: no requotes, all orders were filled during the initial spike at the price I asked.

I am straddling news only for past two months, and only NFP so far, so I don't know does it work this good for other news releases too, I am planning to test that this month.

i did 279 pips total over 3 different trades for various amounts on cable. good morning overall.

That's what we do Jason, refine our system to fit our process. As long as you're pleased, that's the bottom line. Tweak it. When your system consistently shows profits, when you feel confident, then take no prisoners... only pips!!!

the clock on my pc was wrong so i ended up being late placing my order, nevertheless i entered at 1.8975 exited 5 mins later at 1.9028. Increased my account by roughly 50% today! whoohoo!

i know i shoulda held it longer but went to watch miami vice with my girlfriend... sucky movie by the way, we didn't even finish it hehe oh well, still a great way to end the week

I got filled and stopped 45 seconds prior to the announcement. Like a trooper, I waited for the pullback and ended up with a nice profit for the day. Thanks MM for your guidance. Next time, I'll set those orders a bit wider.

Hey dude...you got 50+ pips (that's increase), you got your girlfriend (to help spend the increase) and you got a "sucky movie" too??? Man sounds like you're doing just fine.
