If we're pushing past that resistance trend line, then we'll see 179.30 +/- 10 pips. And if that breaks, then 180.20/00. And if 180 is broke as a resistance sometime later, I'm looking at 182.

If the resistnce holds, we're back to range trading, and i expect the price to fall down several dozen pips tonight minimum.

I am baffled why it so high... EU pumping out toilet paper like the worlds got the shits and the price rose 1.24% yest... ;-/ anyone shed some light?

Something called stop runs, big boys driving price up to squeeze out the ppl who are short below 1.12, but dont be intimidatd, this thing still in down trend.

Im thinking so too, but not looking to far ahead just now, the 1st 3 days of this year sell off since then shes been ranging, 178 40 is first fence then the falling tl daily 2nd fence, this could be the 4th wave of that range which brings in another dynamic of the last wave printing a LH LL which supports bears, bulls will get advantage if they can break 178 40 then falling tl and the print a HH 179 36 until then agreed its still in ranging, hence waiting cant long here cant short just yet

This is very easy for you Kardesh, if you are in Istanbul. Im crap at explaining, maybe chart shows better
entry target area for bulls was orange line (supported by 200sma) bears green tl, danger is if she makes a hh purple line, normally similar wedges break north, but LH LL,s is good reason for caution

Dont know if its me but the fx market in general seems to be becoming more... I dont know? Illiquid? Algo price driven? The amount of flash crashes, random price movements etc. has really become apparent in the last month.


Seems like the market has a tendency now to move instantly on news then immediately stop and consolidate until the next news/illiquidty event situation, theres less tradeaable set ups

Exactly my feel. It goes like that since 2014 January in my opinion. All my systems have less trades than ever before, although vola has increased now. Itīs like everyone jumps on the news or spikes, then side-ways until the next news happen. Where are those long-lasting and smooth trends. I guess gone forever.

its becoming more and more that way..... fx market seem to move with the news and nothing else.... but then the argument is that news drives market....
why would they engage an algo to bet the wrong way (market making) when an incomming high impact news is coming up??

I just think its that liqudity dissapeers so frequently now when the algos stop trading or during news releases. Its nothing now for pairs to whip saw around in a 100 pip range after news then go nowhere.

Price movements were alot smoother in the short term back in 2010,2011... now its like everyones algo is so desperate to milk every micro pip that breakouts become ultra rare

Pre-NFP, of course. Because we know trying to guess the news beforehand is one hell of a landmien to trigger for retailers like us.

dont know what charts you are watching, pull up just about any daily chart and thats exactly what they show, has been for months and months in fact monthly shows the same, have a look cable monthly 7 solid months of selling 7 months straight is a rare thing Im not sue but I dont think there has been an 8th month on any pr, even 2008, does have 8 but no way as solid as the present sell off months :nerd:
