It is impossible for Greeks to pay this debt. Nobody wants to admit but it is the case. Greece makes most of its income from tourism, it is an attraction for European and Russian tourists. Both of them are suffering atm. It is not wise to expect them to pay its current debt with what is going on around EU and globe in general. It is probably best for them to default since whatever they do will not mean much. EU should just accept this fact and move on. In the end it is not a destroying amount for EU in general. Adjust the conditions and be happy for every cent you get back. I think this way.

I think if this was top we would already be at least at 1400 by now, tops/bottoms usually doesnt give much of a chance to get it in,usually very quick...watching 1428/27 currently, hold/fold...my 2 cents

Nothing is too sure. But chancing longs after a massive euro dump. I wouldn't sell that low for now. Just go with the flow

Overall i'd be looking near 1.0 but let the euro breathe a bit

those apple-pies in berlin have to love it... and whatever the outcome will be, they're going to have to sell it.

Technicalities really ... In simple word, they are managing to put "i wont ever pay my debts" in a nice and very politically correct and very marketable phrase for the masses inside Greece and to please the politicians lefties and righties in the EZ. "swap debts for new growth-linked bonds" ...whatever that means in reality is sadly pure BS in economic and financial terms.

I wonder what would happen if I go to my bank today and I offer them to swap my mortgage payments for payment link to my grand grand grandchildren future earnings ... ah and on top they should give me a short term loan for my Holidays and my new car as I am not willing to adjust my budget for those extras....

In any case, from a political side is a positive news for the euro, they found the technicality term for the 11th hour/kick the can move in a couple of weeks when all €€€ in Greece are gone before needing the next loan.

In a psychological view, imho:
Was short hysteria at lower levels and have short hysteria right now (reasonable level to short + bad level to place longs), but there is more space up (which would not hurt overall trend) so more up has good chance.

in the 15m is a classic toppish formation forming... a hit with a bounce , then a second hit... the second hit is the one to watch for rejection...

Do you remember what I told you about 2 years ago? I know of 2 banks that exactly do/did that. As long as there are any securities, the likelihood is there.

It should only be a scalp in my opinion, early Asia, we might see another sell off in AUDUSD which would spike EURUAUD.

Actually, many times its the opposite, if we were at 1.14 now, it would be a healthy bull move with a nice pullback and then probably continuation up. But the longer we stay up without breaking upwards, the more probability of a bear run.
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

so much truth in what you say but it is the reality. EU countries have mutual benefit from this union, and Greece debt is not a significant amount if one looks at the total debt of EU countries. Every member should take some responsibility and this problem can easiy be solved. Of course, Germany will cover most of it, I don't know the political effects of this but it is a difficult situation. On one hand EU is at risk on the other a nasty tiny little member is just playing with you.
