AUD pairs seldom correlate with other pairs especially pairs like USD/JPY when both currencies will trade against AUD fundamentally. The only correlation I see news from AUD affecting USD/JPY are cash outflows and asian stocks which can easily balance out and give us very muted responses on USD/JPY.

Still looking forward to USD and JPY related fundamentals to give us a better direction. Otherwise technically we are still going to be stuck in a range, doesn't matter if the range is brought higher or lower.

Asian stocks are tumbling again after poor US data previous session, thus adding to JPY strength. If we don't see good data from EUR/GBP/US, we might slowly trend lower before Friday's US data which will be an aggressive kicker.

Entering scalps with bias on longs for USD/JPY and GBP/JPY till Friday. Cheers.

I translate aud interest rate cut as indicator australian economy is not doing so well, and it would affect global economic growth, meaning risk is higher.
thus JPY is higher because jpy is one of safe haven.
could be wrong.

If you see, after aud rate cut announced, aud down, jpy up (uj, ej, aj, gj goes down).
I am expecting bounce on uj before entering short.
my view is still bearish for uj for time being.

if evvents are to repeat from yesterday, then London open should take us to 117.43

There will be a lot of resistance at 117.4 . if we can break above this on the hourly then we might see 118 by tomorrow.

Man those long scalps are lucrative. Still Long bias till we hit soft resistance at 117.4.
