Seems to be very strong support at that 1.4512 level on EURAUD .. if it can get below that it would appear as if there is some good movement downward available

Here is another chart for you.

On the aud/usd 4 hour chart.
Look at the pac. Look at price & price action shadows
in the pac, look at the long tails. If price were to break through
the pac & break through the (blue) daily open line, I would be
looking to open a short position. (It's not ready yet)...

Hi all,

Its been a while since I posted and I can't believe how many posts have been added since then.

I think a new structured thread is needed personally ...this one to me has become unweildy, maybe Emm, LW and of course SJ might consider that, and keep this one for the general chat and mutual praising that respectfully appears to make up the bulk of the posts here.

I appreciate I'll be shot down in flames for my comments lol....but it's intended to be constructive. There must be others who feel similarly, any comments would be welcome.

I agree with Landline. We are not here to be praised.I would suggest posting trades taken a few minutes later in order we can learn why the trades went bad or gone the way we wanted. I see no point when we get only trades shown after the fact and getting praised.We give praises to the lord

I haven't given it that much thought tbh....but I felt compelled to comment when I logged in and saw the volumn of posts which staggered me, and many seem to me to be from serial posters patting oneanother on the back for a successful trade, which is fair enough, but not particularly educational if you get my meaning.

Perhaps a TMS thread for the technical gurus on here as I mentioned would benefit new and old members alike, and maybe some kind of library to enable easy reference...maybe topic sections within the thread...I dunno, I'm just thinking aloud now as I post, but yourself and the other recognised and respected experts are quite likely to have some great ideas between you acting as a commitee....food for thought if nothing else at this point thats all

IMHO is to open a new thread, with the 'new rules'
We can all agree that the heart of this trading system is the tdi, which Eric introduced in the first post, but even so alot have changed and added; - Guppy, pac, dots, mtf tdi, dashboard and so on.

What do you 'senior' tms members think about that?

My initial thought is.

I do not think it is a good idea for me to call trades or
show my trades right after I enter them.

First of all not all trades are 100% winners, (things happen).
Secondly, Forex Factory does not want this to become a "call service".

We want to provide a good educational experience for everyone.
Everyone is at a different trading level. Some have the system down
& need help with the psychology of trading. Others, we are trying to
teach the basic system. Everyone is different.

Keep the suggestion's coming...

The pac is in the template on post # 50,241.
The manual setting for the pac are: 5 smoothed hi & 5 smoothed low.
But these manual pac settings are different because Dean Malone
tweeked the pac settings. I would use the new pac!

Your comments are fair, but if we have no structure to the posts then it becomes almost a free for all lol....with random bits n pieces, calls, praises, education, psychology...pretty much everything.

I appreciate that your focus has always been on the educational aspect, and that was very useful to me personally and many many others I'm sure, but all I'm suggesting I guess is that the thread will grow and grow exponentially and become impossible to manage or reference, and it seems to me that we're at that point now and that now is perhaps a good stage to give TMS a makeover or a new dedicated and structured thread that includes all the various topics, timely calls, strategies, education, psychology, stops, tps etc etc but in a manageable way if possible.

As I said, its food for thought for you and all members that may have an opinion on the subject

Potential big daily reversal candle on GC - TDI just looking to cross at around the 80 level - but MBL still upward sloping following the big upward move of the past 9-10 days.
Already been one way traffic today with a 250 pip downward move.
Weekly range was circa 650 pips last week and 750 pips the week before last.
Will see how the picture plays out by close today.

Your point is well taken, it is very useful for me to read the overnight posts prior to the NY open, unfortunately 4 or 5 pages of comments sucks up a lot of time.
However the strength of the thread depends on social interaction; banning chit chat will weaken the thread and also diminish the mutual support that is available.
Perhaps the best solution is for members to try to limit trivial posts and also to say "thanks in advance" rather than posting a speciific thank you.
UC, M5 quick counter trend scalp from 1.25750 quarter number recent short term forming support to TP +5.5 (5 lots) (not in my office and missed the nice trend down so settled for little pullback)
