i am not sure about if market will give a buy opportunity again from 1,10 levels. if we see i will buy.

I hate (mainly manipulated) data and news, but Italian Monthly Unemployment Rate fallback (0,5%) is the highest in years.

put out a short at 1.13418.. wanted 1.13500 but i missed it... sl 1.13550... reason being hourly trendline from 27jan high..

sl be +1.

Key day for markets as we have triple rolling today. London refusing to play ball in the opening range until an unusual v. important CPI numbers in play to confirm the worst fears in the Euro Zone. CPI will have strangely the handle for any position move before NY seal the deal for the rolls in the opening range with GDP numbers.

Very strange combination of factors. For today, only major levels in play across the board so needless to say "watch out" for those micro Tfs traders get spanked in and out. In Euro 1.127x, 1.116x to the top side the 1.15xx handle with extension 1.154x. For the european session 1.134x (that Lndon rejected) is key after reports for any momentum play to the topside as there is a plethora of micro and no so micro now stops stacked above until the highs....We'll see in a few.

Morning,

Waiting for EU CPI flash and US GDP.

A little pop upside to test 70/80 area?

Seeing some gradual move from dollar supportive indexes and futures to gold while eurjpy,usdjpy and cable are trying to find some sort of bounce platform.
They think they are smarter than I am.

consider that many people do not register the lists placement because it has lost hope of finding a job , which is why the data are so good

It’s been a fundamentally eventful start to the year for the global economy’s central banks – the SNB removing its peg, the ECB announcing a 1.1 trillion euro stimulus package, and now Yellen privately hinting to US lawmakers that a rise in interest rates might not come as soon as the markets expect. The technicals, as usual, reflect this recent uncertainty in the form of a triangle consolidation pattern (pennant) over the course of the week.

I remain technically bearish on the pair under its 10-day moving average (it has been under this level since mid-December) at 1.1350, though we really need a break above 1.1450 (above the 61.8% retracement level) to confirm the medium-term downtrend has ended.

My micro trading has been terrible of the EU the last couple of days, the market has had no respect for my levels, it appears I am playing the wrong game in these conditions and now standing aside. I am watching closely for those releases you mentioned as I have being reading along similar lines. I have a lt 400p trade and wondering if it's time to bail...

Looks like "the money" just received the news, now they can spike up on neg. results or some such outcome.... I really don't trust these "releases" they smell of bs so often... (pls excuse lang.).

I hear you mate. Its specially hard as Euro has been so trendy and unidirectional that I understand more normal conditions will be hard to adjust.

The very few intraday traders (very very few around here) who recognise early when to play intraday chop its most of the time because they follow the major direction so they can spot trendy vs choppy conditions a lot faster.... Whatever the case either swinging or intraday trading, recognising major direction moves its a must for sustainability for any intraday trader...

On the news, nay ...i know we sometimes tend to think that because of our charts but not really and especially with news like CPI. First is just a normal reading not a flash news that will crack the markets (like earnings leaking or QE, interest rates, etc) and second Eurostat its just a bunch of technocrats/bureaucrats pushing numbers from gender discrimination in Rumania in women age 25 to 30 to trade balance between Poland and Ecuador ... so you get the point ...

Let see how it goes. As mentioned early London rejected 1.134x in the opening range but the moves its just noise crumbs for now. Let see if we are going to have a morning in the euro or we stay in max chop zone until NY and the rolls.....
