Hello there MrA! I noticed that your setup candle to go short closed above the PAC. As a concept, I would have thought it meant go long. History of the chart screams go short, which is what you did. Does that mean if the candle closes either above or below the PAC, it signals an opportunity based on other indicators to trade, rather than close below = trade short and close above = trade long? Thanks!

Patience and Discipline pays off. I got the confirmation of a close above Guppys and the 8680 level on the Daily and set my trade with the target of 8950 (also TDI gave confluence). My Stop was at previous support 8345 and I moved it to where you see last night aussie time. Although I reviewed my pairs each NY Close this is the only trade I made this week as it was the best set up I could see and as a result the week is +232 pips (Last week I only traded EJ on Daily for +108 for the week). Low Stress and only taking the best probability set-ups.

The market ended up with 2 huge pin bars on the E/A.
I would be careful next week, this is a bullish market signal

I'm just using the Synergy Pro Tdi with default settings.
I don't fool around with settings to much, I just
use default settings...(smarter people than me figure
out all the settings)

2015 Week 4 - Trade Summary:

4 trades in total:
- 1 win
- 2 BE
- 1 Loss

Another slightly disappointing week, however profitable all the same. A total of 25 pips net for +2% on to my account.

Monday: Waited for LO+1 for standard TMS entry. PA moved 44 pips in my favour before stopping me out at BE. Taking a break of Frankfurt would have given +50 but equally would have contradicted basic TMS rules.

Tuesday: LO entry taken on a break of Frankfurt. Price went 33 pips in my favour before stopping me out at BE. Both Monday and Tuesday maintained a narrow range with uncertainty around Thursday's ECB HIN.

Wednesday: Finally caught +50 on a break above Frankfurt. Early entry was reinforced by the TDI green touching red and the double bottom formed by Frankfurt. (+50, +4%)

Thursday: Not quite sure what I was thinking... Entered on a break above Frankfurt without a TMS signal or any other real confirmation. Everyone has losses but this one should have been avoided. (-25, -2%)

Friday: Was really busy at work and with lots of High Impact News scheduled I decided to stay out today.

As always, excellent trading from the regulars in here.

Why EJ was a bad trade entry?

PA + Momentum seen with the TDI tells you that buy decision was a wrong one. You can either be right or wrong, no good or bad entries.

- on H4 chart, you will see consecutive weeks of bearish move
- on your H1 charts posted, you will see that the previous Day was a bearish candle close , so today we trade in the direction of the previus Day candle close. That is high probability training in its simplest form.
- you see the price made a stromng push down to the BRN 131.00 and pullback very strong, but there is no bullish reversal. This when I say the market set you up. For a reversal to happen, I need to see at least two weekly candles and not before we see a consolidation with support.
- When trading the low TF charts H1 and below, use the full TDI. Observe the Market Base Line MBL Yellow colour. The MBL on H1 is indciation of the longer term momentum or the next higher TF in this case the H4. The TDI MBL was sloping downwards and the Green and Red below it at the time of your entry.
- You need to see the PAC flatten then turn upwards and wait for a strong APB and price close above the PAC.
- forget about trying to get into the market using reversal setup and trying to catch the APB#1 and APB#2 for now until you learned and mastered Price Action. Be patient learning PA, it will take some hundreds of hours.
- Use the TDI in H1 and lower, Buy when the Green is above the Red and above the Yellow. Sell when the Green is below the Red and below the Yellow. (Rule).
- You can break the above Rule, when you have mastered trading with PASR Price Action @ Support&Resistance.

- Recommendations:

(1)Read the TDI description posted in this thread. There are three different type of TDI traders or trading styles. Pick one and learn and develop yourself.

(2) Get rid of those support and resistance stuff on your chart. They are useless to have too many of them. You must learn to see the recent support and resistance on your charts by simply looking at the price swings which are confirm with the APB colours change. Look left of your charts, that what eelfranz taught us to do.

You can export your Account History to csv file and use MS Excel or any spreadsheet software to analyse your trades.

There are also commercial 'Trade Analyser' software tools which you can buy for this purpose and they work for most trading platforms.

One trader asked: Why trade away from the Day Open?

Most of us are day traders. Some trade off H1 charts, some are so good at M30 charts. Some uses M15 charts to better time their H1 setup entry.

But fundamental of TMS trading is we are all trend traders. We trade the trend of that moment what we see on our chart of that particular timeframe.
To get into the market trend, we pick the high probability trades setups which follows the higher timeframe.

So when you trade H1, there are 24 H1 candles for you to choose from. Most will pick the LO candle the London session because the London session is the most liquid of all the market sessions. You can be in a trade and out within the next 3 to 5 hours or H1 candles.

it's not the signal i'm afraid off (if PA wants to go bullish or continue bearish it's all good). It's when this pair gets into consolidation state i'm afraid of. My personal experience with EA and GA tells me that this two pair loves to see saw whenever they are in consolidation state. big see saw too....

This week, market made a dip to 1.400. We are still in the retracement of 2013 rally.
I see there will be some wide range sideways play with the Big Round Numbers 1.400, 1.41, 1.42, 1.43, 1.45, ... until I see a bullish MN price bar and good body APB candle.
Well, position traders will start to look for bullish move and will use bulletproof money management.
Trade Safe with TMS 5-Method when market type is sideways wide range.
4H swing traders, know your average weekly swing is between 300 and 320 pips on the conservative side. The last 5 weeks was about 365 pips. You don't need to pick tops and bottoms, just wait for the reversal and a confirm established trend, then you hop onto it. Target 60% of the average weekly range is a smart target.

Here, I use this for many years when I want to download the history data from my broker server.

it is script and you only need to run it on one chart and the script to download all the history data for all pairs found in your Market Watch list.

I suggest you make a new clean profile with only one open chart. Not need for any template, just the default blank chart will work just great.
