1.50 is very strong support, but once broken, this can fall hundreds of pips within days.
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

{quote} Y, Draghi managed it very well. I was pretty afraid as I was quite heavily leveraged - @ 30:1, when FED launched QE2 at 2011. Was such a huge whipsaw I have doubled and lost all floating on UJ within like 2-3 hours. So was pretty tight this time.

Just found this on another forum and thought it was (mildly) funny:

Our Draghi
Who art in the Eurozone
Hallowed be thy stimulus
Thy bond purchases come
Thy inflation be done
In Europe, as it is in America
Give us this day, our daily pips
And forgive us our hedges
As we forgive those who hedge against us
Lead us not into over leveraging
And deliver us from the Swiss National Bank

LoL. If you allow me an overstatement, I'd say that his job was to save the EZ but he has done more than that, he saved the EU in letter and spirit. A nominated official have done the elected representants Job. He fucked nicely all the elected leaders (read cowards).

This is what am watching on UJ right now. Think 119,1 is needed by both bears and bulls.

Well yes those levels are getting unlock with the latest move. However, as I always argue here, any pair has two sides with huge implications for the two major economies (EZ as block) in the case of the euro.

One thing is a huge move in crosses (gbp/yen ,etc ) or tiny pairs (usd/chf, sek etc) because the implications for the real World economy and business are TINY in global terms. There is no much forces except speculative capital to move out of range...

While a huge devaluation or appreciation in pairs like the euro/dollar has severe implications for the global economy as they represent more than 2/3 of the global trade and more that 3/4 of the global transactions in business...what I mean is that if euro keeps falling closer to parity, a HUGE american business "lobby" will start pushing really hard to not loss competitiveness forcing the dollar to weaken via the FED or else ... The same happened (despite the PIIGS after) when euro was flirting in the 1.6x handle ... it was out of a healthy range and business in Europe (including the powerhouse export Germany) start pushing the euro down....

Point is, there will a lot of forces pushing up (or down depending) but when this pair gets to unsustainable business levels neither the US or the EZ governments, business or CBs will allow to get out of control for too long ... in the long term the pair is doom to be a flat ranging pair in between some predefined S and R levels....

I was listening to the DAVOS interviews and almost every single American CEOs doesn't want, neither believe euro to parity for a longer than a knee jerk reaction....while the European CEOs are actually "happy" seen the euro at parity but they also DONT believe it will stay for too long as it will unsustainable...

We'll see

gator, I recalled we had some private conversions on the Russia and Ukraine issue last year when I first joined the thread last year. EU was still at the 1.3600 area.
Time flys, 6 months passed and many people from the 1.3600 time have disappeared. Not many stood the test of time. I got my high-impact badge on 1/2/15 after about 8 months contribute on FF, and I am certain things would get better from this point on for me and for those who also fight hard everyday to be better at what we do here.

I will NOT be participating the market during this week's FOMC and NFP release. One more week demo practice warm up and then will move on to live.

Did you just start trading live a week ago?

That will give you the method, then you have to work on the other 2/3 of trading EUR/USD...which you can only teach yourself.

Good luck.
