Even so, gifted doesnt mean rich- and if I had to choose between the two, I'd rather be rich.

I think i understand what you mean sort of. Although i dont think i would use the term "simplified" as you did, but still i sort of get it i think. Like you say, when the information spreads in the system it gets altered along the way. So lets think about this "democracy" term: Government for the people, by the people. You think this is the world we live in? Isnt it more like there are a few with a lot of power, say the central banks, IMF, The world bank, OPEC, JP Morgan, Goldman sachs, Brittish Petroleum organisations like that. Well if these people and their organisations have a lot more power then people in general, doesnt that sort of mean "democracy" is just sometimes and just about some things and maybe only in some places?

I think this is a matter of information getting altered along the way: Democracy was thought of in one way, say 2500 years ago in Greece where the term was coined. And then we had something quite different being called "democracy" in say 1920. What we have now, if you ask me, well there is little evidence of any government by the people for the people. Of course that depends on what you mean by "Government for the people, by the people." To me it makes sense that everybody sort of decides together and everybodies opinion and views are to be respected. I dont see much evidence of that either. To me what we have now is much more a global fascism. Fascism is government with the use of violence. War is widespread violence. Any government who use war for ANY means is a fascist government, clean and simple.

SNBs move sure had NOTHING to do with democracy. It wasnt a decision by the people for the people among the EU citizens.

Not sure here, perhaps yes, but think not. I tend to have conspirational theories, but now I think it was as simple as SNB was overloaded with inflating currencies some of which threatened to inflate more, so finally made a good decision and gave up. There was no other option. SNB has 175Bn Eur on its balance sheet, about half of GDP.

When taken all +-, it is not that bad move. Imagine scenario they didnt do it. ECB would need to do monetary expansion in whatever form to help the South and Swiss would go broke. Now Swiss finally chewed what they had to one day so pretty safe. Side effect was ofc very bad, SNB should prepare investment public for such a move. It was very reckless and irresponsible. But the main + is SNB move is big boost for Southern Europe, which is one of the main issues here.

Yupp, and then there is a great big change and so on and then the next thing. Well thats the story of agricultural society. That doesnt necessarily mean it will continue like that forever, who knows? My idea is to sort of get out of that whole cycle thing and go into a more stable form of living. My goal in life is to create a society/village that is self sustained and independent. This is the reason im trading.

Yeah sure i can see why. The whole EU thing is a disaster, like Gator was talking about: The economies are incomparable, so its very unrealistic for them to have the same currency. To me it even seems quite unrealistic to take a countries currency out of its geographical borders.

If it breaks the 117.768 support im thinking thats a change from selling to buying.

When i was a complete greenhorn i heard the oldtimers talking "All indicators lag", so as to mean they will give you the signal too late. Its not until a few months ago i started seeing EXACTLY what they ment. Actually, maybe im getting "old timer" too? My hair is sort of receeding on the sides of my head ive noticed. Looked at a photo from my womans high school prom when i was 19. BIG difference.

That pretty much sums it up.
Regarding SNB policy, i dont think we have yet seen it all. With EUR devalution and capital outflows into strong CHF SNB will have to deliver something else, question is what. Easiest guess is further rate cut, say -1.5%.

Yea EURUSD has been a one way train especially since SNB, I have also looked at USDJPY closely. Nice range developing between 116 and 121 with 118 as a pivot level.
