They just got me...-5 pips...but now since the top is broken, I can wait a little to short from higher into EU session...

Market is lagging. You have to take into account time shifts. Some markets were closed when peg collapsed. Not talking bout longer contracts. Cash reacts first, but you got less liquid Euro bank accounts. Not everyone trades on markets, some people actually transfer cash from one bank to another, which usually takes t+2. Overall prices within Eurozone are still not stable, better wait at least one day.

Updated chart, ideas? Looks like 1715-25 might be a good short. First move back to 1600 worked out, lets see if we can shoot up during tomorrow's US session.

One thing is sure many traders will give up trading this scam called forex. I am happy I was too busy to trade yesterday. Saw the huge gap hours later.
Sorry for those whose accounts were wiped out. I know many brokers too got burnt.

FXCM owed 225 million from traders.

This kinda shit is how we get the BS regulations like FIFO that tie our hands. I'd imagine the chairman will see some backlash from this.

Its interresting, because each broker has different margin limits, some simply allow too much of a margin to be used. I remember I tried some crazy ass high leverage trading through Tallinex back in the day, but they never allow me to go too much into a drawdown. The margin was so tight that when I opened a trade with leverage 1:150(their max is 1:200), I got stopped out after 20-30% of my account was gone. With most other brokers I could go to $0 even after using their full leverage, so I can imagine a quick move would get me into negative numbers. I think some brokers will re-think their margin settings after this shit.

Regarding my Oan, it is under JPM, so prolly well capitalized. I got all TPs filled to the pip, precisely two slipped 1 piplette in my favour. There are lots of rumours about dealing desk brokers online quoting wrong stuff and robbing their clients, but for all I saw (approximately year and half) no surprise spikeys and WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) system. When set orders, no slippage. Sure, they widen spreds to cover themselves as all brokers do, but think no fakes.

Until now, Tallinex have been the only broker I didn't see doing shady stuff. I tried Fxpro, Dukascopy, Forex.com, Fxopen and testing Alpari UK atm. Oanda I only tried on demo, but they had crazy ass spikes, too. I am done with Fxopen, because they went to complete scam in 2015...seriously, it became a joke. Spread went up from 1-2 pips to 5-10 pips during regular hours, platform freezing for minutes...once GU was "down" for 7 minutes, all this started after christmas. I asked them about the spread and stuff and they said its the market, its not them. lol I hate when customer support treats me like I was mentally retarded.

Oanda- to date, is the only broker I've seen specifically say that you cannot run into negative on your account. I've leveraged 50 times on my smaller account (full leverage), and had margin call warnings WELL before I lost a substantial amount, I'm talking around 10%. I've never had a margin call go through, but at usually around 8-10% I was getting emails and warnings that I had till the end of the week to fix it, othewise I'd get called.

If FXCM is -225 million, and they're the largest broker, looks like Oanda just blew them the fuck out of the water.

I did my due diligence on brokers, and besides Citi, Oanda was the next best choice (in my eyes)....not that they are a great choice. They are no scalper or news trader dreamboat for sure.... After this all unwinds over the next few months, if Oanda stands by that email I just got- and nothing pops up out of the blue, I will have 100% confidence in them. Today will be a bench mark brokers will talk about for a long long time.

Yep, anything above 1640 is a good short into the EU session...with a SL above 1650.

I might try 1660 as entry point and SL at 1670 ... whats do you reckon be the best ratio of SL in EU boss? 10, 25, 40 pips??

Its always the best to have a number in mind, which should stop the upmove/downmove and then set the SL above/below it, so the closer to "your" number, the better. You can start with a 20 pip SL and then when you see you were right about the short-term top/bottom, you can move it to 5-10 or even BE, depending on the next hour candle close.
