Its definitely impossible to use 10-20 SLs with Oanda...because many times those will be hit, even if the market doesn't even come close, Oanda does.

Btw EU doesn't look good for bulls...once 1770 is broken...1725 might be next...and then 1690. Whatever happens, I am glad I am out with some profit and can just watch. A pending short below 1770 is tempting, though. And another one below 1725.

On the charts...there is no indication of 1.24 whatsoever. Even a crazy strong bull move should stop at 2100. But it looks like it will go down first..maybe only down until the 22nd.

Oanda, FXCM, and many other large and recognized U.S. brokers are infamous for their slippage, chart accuracy accusations, and etc, etc. Just because it's regulated by U.S. laws doesn't mean it's safe, despite what the U.S. government says. Just search on google to see the cases and complaints against these established entities, and you'll see that getting an overseas broker is NOT NECESSARILY bad.

But honestly, Oanda's still better than FXCM, which takes the cake as the worst U.S. regulated broker for me. At least Oanda doesn't have a bucketload of lawsuits against them; FXCM has been found guilty several times for manipulating prices and whatnot at the expense of their customers. One of my college friends is an intern there, and while he says that you do learn a lot from working there, the working environment is known for being corrupt.

this 1.20 to 1.23 (dont rule 1.24 out) is what i am waiting for... to short... i am not going long on eur... too easy to get burned in my case of trading style/strategy

True, bears are in control but I am bullish this week. Looking for 1703 or 1690 to long.

In the event that 1770 holds, however, I'm looking at 1800, 1850, and 1870 for my scalping longs as the next immediate resistances. I've got no predictions after that. Market should be looking to test support once those points are hit, but I can't tell with decent probability as to where it'll go. I'll just wait for a confirmed signal for bulls or bears and get in afterwards.

Well, thats not being bullish. We have thursday and if you wanted to long 1690, that would mean 4 out of 5 days strong bears. But I am there with you...If 1770 and 1725 break, I would wait for 1690 to go long, too.

Thanks for that insight. When time permits, I will surf those reviews. I switched from xforex to oanda (Asia Pacific) in 2013.

I am trading intraday, so I wouldn't mind shorting both, 1870 and 1980.

It looks even "worse" now...1770 is very very close...

EDIT: And its broken...safer to sit and wait how this plays out during London.
