That would mean that EUR/USD was in a strong uptrend, I think that is a reach tbh, it could happen but in all likely hood I think most people expect it to continue down

yeah you are probably right, been thinking of reducing take profit, or even closing it now. my guy keeps telling me it's about to take off upwards, but yeah better step by step, my gut tells me it will go way down again before it really turns, if the turning point really is upon us.

yes, we go crazy spikes ...it is still possible as long as the PP holds. the R1 fail has discouraged most of them...

i chickened out of my long, with 6 pips of profit, (irony is, it was up 26 pips at one stage for a few second). should probably go for a small short now, as it's bound to move down a bit from here before it moves up, if it is gonna move up, otherwise i'll be on the safe side of the trend with a short anyway.

After the double bottom it formed last week and the move to the upside EUR/USD dropped again but couldn't even reach the support at 1.1750 before it formed another hammer in the 4 hour filter chart. It looks like the pair is consolidating again before it continues on its way down to 1.1700.

don't feel comfortable entering short after all. i'm seeing another pendant type thing like i kept seeing in the last days, and every time it went up after the pendant consolidation phase. nearly regretting getting out of my long now, lol. really amazing how ones instinct can be so changing.

edited to add: actually yesterdays consolidation phase did end in a down break. so yeah, you probably got it right with a continuation of the big trend. either way it's sure a learning experience watching all this price action and trying to interpret what it's telling you.

I am aware i am on the wrong forum, I was just wondering if anybody can tell me how to change my login name ropeyrich but to keep my account the same. i.e. i dont want to open a new login name. Or can anyone point me in the right direction on how to go about doing it?

1-You can not change your login name.
2-If you create another login name it will be suspended as additional user name if mods catch it (After this post of yours probably they will catch more easly )

look up forum leaders and there will be an admin or moderator you can pm. thats what i'd do anyway. might not be able to change nick though, not sure.

Also GU at 1,52. Luckily EU is still a bit far from 1,187, but not very far. If UJ breaks now, am definitely going to get hit.
