It is interesting that analysts who publish their forecasts in Bloomberg service estimate the rate of EURUSD at 1.2050 at the end od 1st quarter (orange vertical line). Generally skewness is rather in Euro favour, which can be either a proof that analysts are mostly wrong or just the opposite.

So, a gap up could not be a good thing for bulls....


Some time ago there was a gap down, It was filled and there was a rally up.....
Buy at the Low, Sell at the High You make money by waiting not by trading.

13 pips is hardly a nasty gap up. I consider it normal.

Everyone is an expert, yet no one has a Live Trade Explorer. If someone is soliciting your money, please make sure you can verify that they make real profits using
a real account. Also- do not take everything people say as fact- quite a few members in FF are quick to give their suggestions, but not so quick to 1. prove that they are profitable traders, or 2. own up to their mistakes. Lastly, question everything, devise your own plan, take the free training available on FF, and whatever you do- DONT listen to killer whale, he bites.

Tomas, thanks for bringing this analysis to the masses. Would you not agree that much of this consensus data collected from so called "professional" market participants is just an exercise in providing a service to those that subscribe to terminals such as Bloomberg.

Even with regards to economic data predictions and the like, we see wide disparity among the predictions of individuals and instituions. If anything, this type of analysis simply adds credence to the suggestion that the majority of these analysts really do not have any idea where EURUSD rate will be hence why they spend time making submissions to Bloomberg rather than taking on the proprietary risk themselves.

Just my thoughts...
