Is it really possible for uj to drop more than 114 in short term perhaps till end of january? 22nd will be big event for eu and chf and greater possibility it will weaken both eu and chf which push usd up. I wonder what others things tangle usd to go up. Ah jpy stop easing? Looks like inflation target isnt as expected by now

Yeah well held shorts some under water
an chased longs up from 117.5

Set them around 119+

Hopefully a bounce

Thought they wanted EUR way lower then 117.5

Made the mistake off loading in more shorts

during the news as shorts all came out

Good observations. It was interesting to see that despite the arguably best NFP in over 10 years the EU gained back all its daily losses immediately and finally could end a day with gains, forming this engulfing bar. The sell-off during the last months was brutal and no more sell-off on such NFPs shows that a lot might already be priced in. The next week could prove this wrong, however it could pay off to buy carefully. At least some retracement is overdue - let's see what happens next week.
Fix up, trade sharp ...

I was right way back 6 months ago when I told my friend euro will fall towards 1.2000,, but actually implementing my predictions is another matter!
The problem is I want to trade both directions, any retracements... there were a few since April last year..

I reckon the price will gap up, in that case my stop will be taken out and my buy stop will be activated at the gap...any buy stoploss will be set at that lowest dip last week... could require a 100 pip stoploss...

fundamentally I think the us economy will worsen from here, the us $ strength will hurt its economy.... the delaying of any interest rate hike... each meeting its being put off... further and further... if they don't do it... it will be the biggest bluff you've ever seen... and the us$ will weaken

Friday ended so bullish that if it was not the last day of the week, we would probably see 40 more pips up just during the next asian or EU session, so 1880+- before it went down below 1800 again, but new week might open with new mood. Still 1850-60 is easily possible when market opens, even higher, then back to 1785+-. So my plan is to short the initial spike first, wait for the price to go below 1800 and then go long into the week from there.

Nothing easier than making predictions for 3 years from now. These so called economists can sound smart for at least a day and if they are wrong, who cares, the article will be forgotten by then. So much stuff can happen in 3 years...Euro might not even exist by then...or we might have a WW3, which destorys half humanity, who knows.

The biggest EU problem is the EURO itself. Funny how all economists picture EU and its problems, while its still the place with the highest life standard on earth. Apart from bureaucracy, the biggest problem is the euro, because there are too many different economies in Europe for 1 currency. If you have your own currency, you can control your economy with it by making it strong or weaker, but if you have 1 currency, you can't do shit, while in recession, your hands are tied, you have to wait it out and possibly go bankrupt. Euro will need to go...to make EU stronger.

there have been stories around for years about countries preparing for a post euro situation, but that doesn't take in to account the ideological beliefs amongst many of the world elites that the EU project must succeed at all costs. if the history of the EU is looked at you can see that they will do anything to keep it going. no matter the cost to the public. there is a massive bureaucracy working to insure that they never have to work in the private market again in their lives. there are literally millions of people suckling on the eu tit. all these people will always vote for more eu institutions, more money and power for the eu institutions and less money and power left for sovereign governments in the eu, if you can even call them sovereign anymore. point is any bets on the collapse of the euro don't take in to account the human side, i.e. what do the elite's want regarding the euro. thats my take anyway...
