Hmmm... I'm gonna show my ignorance here as I often do but after doing the math using the 2 variables PIPS & LOTS I'm not coming up with the hidden number behind the red box. Is it because the TE takes into account losses on the day as well which I'm sure it must? Or is it because the lots are cumulative? Or... IDK??

It does not really matter anyway ... most people here hide lotsize, profit in $ etc. ... I also hide lot size in charts posted. Do not really know why ... probably to avoid stupid discussions, but then again who cares? I guess the only point is I do not want to work on my ignore list all day lol
Fix up, trade sharp ...

Gotcha... Yeah I always blot out my position size on charts posted as well but just didn't put 2&2 together today. I guess at the end of the day nobody likes a boaster or a bragger & that's never my intentions here at the Factory. Later man & have a nice weekend.

thats the thing, as a new trader, how can you know which it is, trustworthy or not? seems there is a conflict of interest between the broker and the account managers, they are paid by the brokers after all. so yeah, the only reason i'm sharing all this is to get feed back. is it possible that the account manager really is on my side, or is that naive?

btw, i'm fully aware of my lack of knowledge about forex trading, i'm here hoping to learn, if the price for my questions or comments is ridicule i won't mind as long as there is a lesson to be learned.

i fully hear you on not trading with borrowed cash. would be hugely irresponsible. bad enough losing your own hard earned money, without watching borrowed funds go down the drain. even a high probability trade is only a probable, a trend change trade is much riskier . that much i do know so far. thanks for the advise though.

3 lots = $30 a pip

170 pips = $5100

20% gain (20% is 1/5 of 100%) so 5100 x 5 = $25500

Made $5100 today, and started the day off with $22500 in account.

Comments from the Fed’s Lacker. The comments weren’t due for another 30 minutes. Not sure if it’s an early release, leak or he spoke to reporters on his way in.

  1. The Fed needs to be prepared to respond promptly
  2. Cannot tell when or how quick Fed will rise
  3. FOMC should strive to look through transitory phenomenon
  4. Consumer growth more solidly based
  5. ‘leaning toward’ higher-growth pickup in 2015
  6. Sees inflation moving ‘tolerably close’ to 2% target

The ‘tolerably close’ headline is a bit of a departure from his usual rhetoric. He’s one of the most hawkish Fed members and this less-hawkish talk shows there’s no rush for the Fed to move.

A non event NFP at the end. 1.183x easily held the news for the range play to the lows but couldn't breach below. We have a daily micro bottom set now. A mini break 1.183x open 1.194x for the retrace....

Decided to short 1843 - 6 pip stop loss

Gonna hold till the end of the day, maybe pull 20 out, maybe 30, whichever comes first.
