I can remember very well, because not only did I read your messages at the time, but was also involved in trading at that time via Dukascopy. I did not encounter such problems at that time. I am trading via Dukascopy Switzerland. So I was curious

Maybe general advise:

since you traded highly leveraged, it is not sufficient to have opened two platforms at one computer. In this case especially, because both platforms are Java related. What, when simply the java on your computer crashed or hanged?

So my advice is, to have two computers running, best not via the same Internet-connection, and to have the telephone number of the help desk and your account access data available.

Ofc I´ve contacted them. No use. They´ve said it was my fault, I had my computer checked from IT specialist, it was clean and with no issues whatsoever = clear Dukas fault.

Could have been my java in fact, I wasnt examining this scenario. In that case it is still fault of broker for using malfunctioning software. Btw, banks in Czech had quite some problems coz they have been using java as a base code for their internet banking and java facked up heavily. Actually it was about the same time when my platforms crashed, so perhaps it was java all the time? I dont know and actually dont care. I had regular problems with slippage and malfunctioning platform and it all ended up with that overleveraged fail. But as I ve said, it is all past now, it took me a year, but am back on track. I knew all the time i can loose my equity anytime, so whether it is trade risk or operation risk doesnt matter in the end.

Regarding that operation risk, thank you for your advice, but that fail hurt quite a lot (1 year of work!), so am about to have two internet connections, two computers and 4-5 brokers. So I hope I have diversified operation risk at max and will be fine.

Well another year has come and I wonder what happened here. At one time this thread was a very active and informative thread. Now it appears to be to have changed. Is there a shelf life involved. The EUR/USD thread is alive and well. Please do not take my comments as negative or critical. I just am wondering aloud and sharing my thoughts. Life can be very strange. We are in a very exciting period now for currency trading as the currency wars have broken out all over the globe. Look at the USD/CAD and the price of oil. Look at the bond yields on the 10 year bonds. The house of cards is being shuffled again. What is the court decision out of Europe says no bonds can be bought ? Does EUR/USD go back over 1.2000 ?

All questions are open for discussion. Happy New Year. January 22, 2015 and January 25, 2015 and January 28, 2015 probably will shake things up again.
