normally for this kind of gap, the low will be revisited after a bounce.

We have some weak Germany inflation data coming too, down we go after Asian session, that's where my money is. And hold for the EU CPI later in the week...

Got lucky for 79 pips (two trades) in a few minutes (seconds??) on the rebound from the low. CRAZY price action. It's why I refuse to hold over the weekend. I'm sure there are lots of you that were short over weekend and did well. Congrats. At any rate, hard to tell where it will go from here. My bet is they will run the market back up later today so they can tank it again when EUR (Germany) CPI numbers start coming out.

Hmmm and you said parity not possible within 3 years time....
In 2014 eurusd dropped 2200 pips....
I expect this trend to continue until fed benchmark rates hits a peak around 3.5/4%

I read a guy at dailyfx that predicts parity within the next 3 months. After that he eyeballs 0,9xx and even <0,8. Do you consider this a possibility? I find it quite pessimistic and too fast. I expect parity maybe by end 2015 but then this guy is already thinking of the EUR disappearing after that! lol, a little too extreme and soon for my liking.

Those of you who still believe forex trading is genuine and a way to make extra money the truth is that the game is all SCAM. Those claiming they are making money in the trade are only agents to brokers to create false hope.

I removed Silverlight and my troubles stopped, I really hate Microsoft forcing their crap on us.

I was able to jump on that "pop" down , got my 48 pips then bailed (same with the G/U).. Just waiting for the price to revisit the lows. Started my week on a good note !!

In 3 months would mean eurozone in a full blown chaos, which i think is unrealistic, but if u stretch the timeline to around 2/3 years as fed rates goes higher and higher while euro is still doing QE, euro will continue to lose value....
Now as to whether we reach 0.9 etc etc look back at the monthly, when was the last time eurusd traded below paity and what were the conditions, i can tell you the answer lies in the interest rate spread between ecb and fed
The last time we traded below parity, the fed's interest rates were higher than the ecb, and we are beginning to see the same thing repeating, as theninterest rate in us begin to rise and ecb still in easing, the spread is going to widen like it did when eurusd was below parity.

If you have realized that, then you are on your way to becoming a successful trader. You have to understand the manipulation and account for it, or you will be toast. Interestingly, there was very low volume for such a big spike down, and a lot more volume on the retracement. Suggests they were just running the board to pick up some EUR/USD on the cheap. If that is the case, we could be near the turn of the tide, especially if US economic numbers look worse this week. However, the tide takes a while to turn. We could sit around low for awhile before we start bumping back up. It will be interesting to see the trading response to news this week. If EUR/USD doesn't fall on bad EUR news or good US news, then we might be at a reversal point. Otherwise, still on the way down.

Government purchases bonds to increase money supply, increasing credit in the market, increasing growth.

More money supply leads to lower rates or longer term low rates.
