USDJPY is sharply downside from 117.80, but when it hits 117.00, it rebounds and wandering about 117.12. but I want to know whether it will up to 118 or not till tomorrow, thanks

Prices dont move upward like a kite or a rocket ...its always go high in zig zag shape .....ups or down ..i will suggest to hold it. next up to you . if u r in profit then place ur stop loss at same place where u start ..so if it will go down then u will not suffer a loss ..no profit no loss ..i will say hold it and be patient ....

According to Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, BoJ Governor's will focus on recent oil price decline and further expecting any additional easing would be off the table for now.

Hi G,

Why would US F**k the free world if they raise interests rates?

Surely it's a good time to raise rates next year. Last year when the fed done their QE program was to increase inflation. Oil would increase consumer spending so the fed raising interest rates would be a positive thing?

I am not sure I understand the negative side to it? A few people have said it, anyone care to elaborate?

I will not be trading today until later on this pair.

Descending trend-line likely to continue supporting USDJPY decline. 117.30 and 119 are imp. resistance levels. FOMC awaited to fuel the market.

Quite amusing how, 3 weeks ago, 117 was the support and kept on being the support.

The general wisdom at the time was that, if price fell below, it would probably test 115 x then MAYBE turn 117 into resistance for deeper retrace. That was 3 weeks ago. Myself and others kept up the mantra that price was entering multi year resistance and was unsustainable in the short term, yet the "Yen never goes down brigade" were totally oblivious, to the point of disdain.

I guess some of us were just 3 weeks early.

Raising interest rates in a time of global uncertainty is a bad combination. It will wreck havoc on the world economy. Sure it might be "good" in the short run for the dollar but overall things would get really messy. US exports would be almost non-existent as the $ soars to huge highs against most other foreign currencies. Many emerging economies would be decimated with a higher $. Both Japan and Europe would spiral further into recession as their currencies plummet against the dollar as investors quickly dump their assets in Europe and Japan and pour money into US market. Basically we'd be giving a giant F U to the rest of the world

. Which living in the global and interconnected economy we live in today would most likely hurt us as well in the long run. However, Im all for raising interest rates screw everyone else haha.
