It seems that euro dollar is in uptrend but I don't believe in long uptrend.

Maybe a fake move to hit al long traders????????????

IMO, As long as 1.25 hold, I have no intention to close my shorts, with such strong US data, just can't see any reason for me to sell USD.

Omg, 1.4 was ages ago...do you enter a trade and take profits when you retire? Jeez...I'm talking about this week. Unless you have open shorts from below 1.4 and add to them every month...if so, go ahead and show me. Otherwise you are losing money in these bull runs.

My thought process regarding Consumer-sentiment...

The sentiment of consumers- ie: how does the average joe feel the economy is doing?
-Retail numbers after black friday / cyber monday was way better than expected- hinting that the average joe is comfortable splurging (Christmas will be the same)
-The dollar has been gaining recently, house lending is flowing do to low rates (i bought one last year)- people that buy houses generally feel the economy is in their favor (I know I did)
-Stock market is making all time highs, even if you don't know what the stock market is you know that it's concerning the "economy" and its all anyone is talking about on the news (STOCK MARKET MAKING ALL TIME HIGHS, US RECOVERING, YAY YAY, etc)

So I'd imagine, generally- the average joe feels like the economy is doing well.

My thought process may be flawed- but it was right this time. And 2007 consumer sentiment was at all time highs (90s) then 2008 hit and everyone lost their houses mid-year (thus 50s sentiment)....now the economy is "recovering" and sure enough, the last 3 months sentiment has been higher than expected. It may be worth checking if sentiment is directly correlated with whether or not the DJI, S&P500, & NASDAQ have made new highs/lows

lol that 200 pip drawdown is only around 3% of my account.
62.5k usd account
200 pip drawdown x 10 usd per pip at 1 lot = 2000 usd
2000/62500= 3.2%
but ehres the thing im not holding a 200 pip drawdown...
Short on EURUSD at 1.2372 which is 83 pips drawdown atm.
short on eurusd at 1.2446 which is 8 pips drawdown only....

overall trend is bearish of course, technical intraday view we should get move to 2420 at some point, as long as we arent above 2600 you should better look for shorts to get some additional edge

you cant stay out of drawdowns moron, drawdown is part of trading. question is how much profit can you make more than your drawdowns.

where there is reward, theres risk, part of economics for dummies 101 in the section called Opportunity Costs

Even if you dont trade, your risk is time. time value of money still makes your money diminish over time....
