this is not manipulation, its traders holding position to see the outcome of todays events likely with a trailing stop in in cast we blast off, or to earn even bigger profit if we drop.

One might add that on the daily if you look at the prior high/low, how much price has already moved from the open relative to the ADR, and the time of day, then one has a better chance of judging if the move will continue through the high/low, or simply bounce and reverse.

its a delayed stream and usually doesnt start until 1min or so before a speech

+1 you are true most of the time we get 100 pips down 80 up 50down 130 up etc...but sometimes...well...the situation is just...unballanced and we get the *never retraced* big down/up 400pips move...who just ruin every logics...
