If the ECB conference concludes with the ECB NOT announcing a QE, then we'll see a temporary but massive (in intraday terms) of buying the EUR/USD. Unfortunately, it WILL be short lived. It'll probably go somewhere around 1.240~1.2550.

Honestly, it should be somewhere closer to 1.2450 plus or minus a few dozen pips. The odds of the bounce stimulated by the lack of QE from the ECB causing price to reach 1.2600 is unlikely, however.

Edit: I doubt price will reach make a clear breach of 1.220 before the ECB announcement, Starting at that point, we'll definitely see new buyers at the lower 1.200 range, and I get the feeling market makers (hedge funds, banks, etc.) want to drag the price down so they can buy low and sell on the bounce. They maximize profits when the retail traders (average joes) move in the opposite direction. I don't think they'd appreciate the retail traders eating up the liquidity, and it'll be difficult to sink the EUR/USD then.

I do feel sorry for the euro though. The first quarter of 2015=even more beatdown. It's probably a good thing I'm not living in Europe. OR japan, for that matter.
UJ still rising while many attempts are made at 230. Maybe the street has an inside on big D.
h closed lower.. not a bullish sign.. mid for 2125,, is 2243.5.. norm 2480, with stronger trends norm may be hard to reach.. other R may be 2324 2465 2473..

We might see one more drop in EUR/USD before the ECB. Maybe, maybe not. I still don't like how fast it's dropping. It makes me think that market makers are really waiting for the ECB to lead to a bounce in EUR/USD prices, which may crush my earnings from my 1.2460 short.

got some R at 2381 area. why risk it all. i personally trade to make money. if it floating in my account. its not mine till i take off the risk. greed is a motha. its normal to go back to 2480, before 2125. if or when is the bitch. especially with a possible cut/easing of some type. for me i dont have much skin in the game atm.. i will sit on my hands and wait for a retrace that may never come. its free to wait and not trade against norm or the trend. missing some trades is the best money i never spent

i think tommorrow ecb press released is about the postphone of qe and keep doing nothing for this end of the year.
expecting to bounce to 242x - 243x and reload shorts. the further correction perhaps until the resistance of 2507 and will load another short.
if correction passed strong resistance @2567, then ecb certainly cancel the qe and dunno what to say for the financial recovery

Hi gatorinla, you are a veteran in forex trading I think, I have a problem that why eurozone economy is much better than the 2012 which eurusd was above 1.20. But now, it is 1.23, I think the difference between now and 2012 is more than 300bp, don't you think euro is oversell?

i guess tomorrow it will be officially clear... Opened it at 2339 SL 2338 TP 1.22...today we got it again below S3. as you see fibo is reckless system, im happy to not know anything about him...

go back further, from .8 to 1.6.. whats in the middle? why did it go to 1.6? and if that "why" is removed, where should it go? the eu went up because of what the fed did. at the time the euro was saved by events in 2001, it was nose diving prier to " go out and shop"

may i try to comment?
in 2012, eurusd is above 1.20 is not because of eur financial. yes maybe some probability come up from eur, but the main reason is because of the usd itself.
fed did qe and print usd out to help stimulating economy from 2008 crisis. qe means printing money and implicate on usd devalues. the eur goes north until 1.38 max and coming down until this day as draghi announced few months ago about the qe. the eurusd is going to south this time because fed just announced stop qe months ago, and preparing for tightening monetary policy (rate hike).
meanwhile, eur is preparing to boost economy as soon as possible in regard to too low inflation. reducing the interest rates can't even boost the inflation. this time, eur needs something no other than further qe which is further devalues in eur. perhaps, if theres further qe continue till 2016, eurusd might be 1:1
