nice quick trade on a scalp up from 700 to the high and closed out... now just reloaded but this price action is insane right now, pure manipulation..

Hi. Sorry for being naive about this but can someone explain how the news caused a short in UJ? If Japan was downgraded, shouldn't the US appreciate vs the yen?

Not necessarily. Sometimes these work the other way. As i said, their costs of borrowing have now risen. Not that they borrow much externally but ..

Well darn. Took a short nap and missed some action. I had a stop reverse at 119.10 with a stop at 118.80. Got taken out both ways. Oh well could have been worse. I'm back in short with a stop just above 119 again and a take profit at 116.90 (may adjust lower)

In number terms, if 118 doesn't hold, then 117 would probably break next time.

The market may be shifting. JPY is severely oversold, and this news may 'unstretch'. Sideline isn't a bad option - for me anyway
