OPEC has changed the landscape of everything .... can't predict where the equil will be .... but inflation will certainly go lower and USD is still the king of the hill .... JGB negative yield ....

The ECB could hint more aggressive steps on Thursday. I think trades will cut their short exposure to EUR which should in fact lift EURUSD higher throughout the week. Just my snap observation without paying attention to the charts yet, usually do my research on Sunday.

commodities could drift aroundish for years that would press CBs for continuing measures, no hikes deflation pressure and low rates. For EUR all is on draghi no other news. This Nov pause will show who will blink. Market seeems to be undecided how to interpret. QE seems to be the forward and theory says weak EUR. But we gonna see uptick in eur data in the future.

Hey everyone,

I don't trade the Eur/Usd too often, I do pay attention to it around the ECB decision though. Drawing some fibs on this pair and it looks like it could be headed towards 116. Looking at the Daily, it looks like we could be poised for a bounce off a long term upward trend line. What do you guys think? With QE coming and never have done it before, 116 by the end of 2015 definitely a possibility!

And then there is Russia which is loosing its grip. With reality. Scary times. Its ALWAYS nice to own usd

all things comparably, oils prices drop. oil producers suffer. oil users gain. the 3 biggest users are listed. of the 3, one produces much more. if the producer is still above water in oil cost, its ok. because all the industry within that country, pays less at market comparably to the other 2, and pays less to ship it. a built in advantage, when all other things are =. along with cheap oil comes economies that have been accustomed to a certain lifestyle at a higher oil price. changing from one lifestyle to another creates problems. last time the usd went higher we had Arab springs. it took about 2 years after the 2008 drop in oil from 14x $ oil.. this time it starting from a lower price. it shouldn't take long to drain coffers with economies built on 100$ oil. then comes more social unrest, that can lead to civil wars or bigger.
some currencies are considered safe havens. a reason i am watching the yen crosses. some currencies did well in the last oil drop (2008ish). i see 5000 pips on the uj chart wise (probably not going to happen but even a small % is a shitload. ).. if i was usd bullish overall and other yen pair crosses like the aj weaken as well as ea.. i may have the aud as my bigger trade s since it is a mineral commodity currency. targeting after 83xx.. (some rate news coming). .75.. a easing in japan policy adds to energy import cost. making products exported cost more to produce, while they sell cheaper. smaller margin, with adding shipping cost both directions = another lost decade. fudi wise. elections may have a different view of easing.

dont forget putin stirring the shit pot, like last time with libya

why do you guys set up a bearish/bullish mindset anyway?

We are in a range (1.25999-1.23570) and as long as we dont leave it, eu will keep in consolidation. So buy the lows and sell the highs. If we get a new LL or HH trade the retest of breakout.
