I agree not looking for change of trend at all just have kept both running as I don't see the upwards pressure holding on the EUR or the downwrds pressure holding on the yen just hoping it resumes trend sooner rather than later

Closed short at 1.246. CB consumer confidence for the USD is bad; we'll see a resumption in bounce (i.e. EUR/USD will go up intraday). Awaiting the 1.2500 range to consider shorts.

How many days do you reckon? Especially by looking at the daily chart. Could it be just today, a move to test Friday's open? Or do you think it will keep moving without looking back? I find your predictions doubtful under current status. The massive selloff during Draghi's speech was a confirmation that the market makers are interested in pumping & dumping prices instead of actual bullish momentum. Overal EUR/USD is still bearish, and while corrections will happen (is happening right now), we just simply don't have enough stimulus to push it up to 1.2550, let alone 1.2655.

If there's a significant change in news and data, it may be plausible, but it's only delaying the inevitable, given that the euro is fucked up almost as badly as the yen. But I wouldn't trade with the assumption of that chart being correct, given that there's so many ways it could go wrong.

You know it is not going to be a straight line like now but it will last for days thats the point.

its hard to write this off as another simple sqeeze like we saw two fridays ago... or on oct 15th. The US data last week was very good, and GDP today was great. Add in the Draghi comments last week and its quite strange that this pair isnt lower. Maybe the positioning is is just too big one way, EURUSD hasnt seen a big retracement since may.


1.2350-1.2550 is the range, sell rallies or wait for break out. If 1.2550-1.2600 breaks Id say a large correction higher is on the way

I'm not going to argue because I don't know. But it helps to always have a case B scenario. And looking back at the range of recent weeks (1H chart), I can see several similar rallies, either as the first or second leg, that did not last more than a day and a half before selling off. And the current rally is running toward some higher timeframe trendlines, that's for sure, but whether these will be broken or even tested remains to be seen. Nobody can be sure. Being certain is the most dangerous mindset when trading .

That's probably for the best. I'd watch the 1.2550 mark especially; it that's breached, we'll see a bigger correction.

I'm at a dilemma. Should I just take small shorts and wait a month or two (price guaranteed to dip lower), or should I use the margin to trad elsewhere? Given the long possible range for corrections in the EUR/USD, I don't want to have to wait days to get my money...
