Really slow today, it sisters GBp/jpy and Eur/jpy has really done a lot today.

I think there may be some divergence from the BOJ tonight vs what the government is doing, we have already had some sqeaks from the finance minister, don't be surprised at a more hawkish lean in the press conference, just my 2 cents

well the finance minister made a similar talk somewhere aug/sept and that didn't stop the weakening... I think if they really want to boost exports and also protect their stock market like they are currently... a further weakening will have to go ahead before it stabilizes... but they could be a major downer once it hits the top to pick up more longs... until 2nd quarter 2015 YEN is going to be tartass!!

I don't think it will change the trend per se, but it could see a nasty dip tonight, with US markets closed thurs and low liquidity following up on fri, it could gain some traction to the downside, I usually trade Gbp/Jpy but the effects on Yen crosses are usually all correlated. good luck on your trade

Not sure if this was for me. I'll respond anyway

Nothing is changing this trend any time soon. So, I agree with that. We'd need to see much more volatility on D1 and H4 time frames before the trend is even a little bit threatened.

As far as short term, I don't see it getting out of this messy consolidation without another dip or 2. 117.83 area is targeted. It could bounce before it gets down that far, but looking how weak it has become all of a sudden, and didn't even come close to making a new high, I see it bouncing around for a while before it goes back up and leaves 119 behind...

Chased longs up

Got a forest of longs in USD/JPY

Its important to keep taking profit

Build the balance,hedging is all good but at some point

it can break out.

Will add longs in the 117 area

Keeping an eye EUR/US as that is looking more active

yen above 120 is a toilet paper
if abe want to win the 14/12 votes
must to give to yen some strengthening
so japs voters
will be think their money still value
im expecting yen below 115 since 14 december votes

Good trades on EJ and GJ... advice on any decent entry level when approaching... Well... hoping for a UJ break out of 118.40-50 range to 119 and beyond by sydney open... EU has been active since the sell off on friday... I missed out on the retrace today so waiting for a good point to enter... but my overall bias on the pair still stands as bearish to the .8400 range.
