Market conditions are fickle. ie moves snap like twigs. I don't think it is reflection of sentiment. Be very surprised if it moves any further down today (or tonight, for me).

Well guys, USDJPY sucks donkeys @ass after that pinbar on daily i took shorts on almost all jpy pairs as the pinbar could be seen on almost all of them. EURJPY and CHFJPY have made me tons today, GBPJPY not so bad and the worst is NZDJPY and AUDJPY as i still wait for the green on these, but to be honest, they did not have the pinbar but did look like they stalled so i took them anyway, stupid... AND USDJPY i have small gains on.. and still not in profit. Got busted so many times last two days on this sucker, but will stay short now (entry 117.69 sl 118.25). Will see if monday can print a new low, if not i will kick this off the tradinglist for a while..

118.29 is key target that needs to be broken today. If it can't get above that, or somehow show it's ready to bust through it, I expect further ranging, or more downward movement next week.
Im long 117.5 we've tested it multiple times so far and its held. We'll see what happens holding this over the weekend

I have not found a broker with it yet. But i have using the link for the other currencies for a while

EDIT: ALso you have the COT reports directly on charts there, and zooming out to weekly you will notice that net shorts are getting less on each cycle as USDJPY has been going up, so i would be careful calling higher targets without checking what the large specs are doing.

Still totally not comfortable with short positions. Look at it now? Does it look like it's just dying to go lower?

Obviously anything is possible. But if you look at the H4 and daily charts, there is absolutely NO VOLATILITY. It is my opinion, that counter trend trades should only be considered when a trend becomes volatile.

Of course, if you are scalping, or watching your trades constantly ready to jump in and out every time the price sneezes, then maybe, and I know I've done that. But if you are holding for more than a few hours, beware of shorting this thing until it shows more volatility.

What are the chances you enter a short trade, and we finally get that big pull-back? Not likely.

Note the attached H1 chart. Again, obviously, all of this is only my opinion. Which channel do you think will prevail?

I hope everyone's trades work out...

tough week. for the last 15 hours got caught twice in these sell-offs.
do not think the bottom will be tested again today. so still in buy mood.

It could very well jerk everyone around with prolonged sideways movement - perhaps into midweek. Personally, I don't think there's any substantial justification to going against this trend yet - esp given the reason you mentioned.

This pair is making me pull my hair right now. Most of the jpy went flat a while ago, and USDJPY jumps.. if it passes 117.75 i will kill my shorts and close the UJ charts.. I just think the dollar is have way to high thoughts about it self.. it is not that strong!! I think ppl are getting tricked with this monkey and Net shorts have been descending for a while..

the JPY is really that weak is what it is.
