{quote} calm down when i say i dont use Stop loss, i dont use "HARD" stops... i got a psychological area where i can tell myself enough is enough and risk reward at that point stays at 1. one thing ive experienced is that market does not stop at a "Hard" points or "hard" points gets stopped out because of market momentum..... imagine a car moving. at 60 miles per hour, when you push the brakes, it doesnt stop hard... theres usually an inertia force after a big movement...

cool like ice

yep, I also do set rarely SL, because I do not like that people are able to look into my cards. And secondly, momentum development in the moves give most of the time very good ideas of further movement.

Nevertheless I know where the limitations are and when to fold them (the cards)

strange.... if the ZEW was this good why isnt the EURUSD gunning for 1.26 now??
i suspect the move up today on the EURUSD is because someone was already buying the EURUSD ahead of the ZEW knowing perfectly well the ZEW would come out this good...

afterall... ZEW is a private survey.....

Professionals do not use stops.

At platforms I trade with, for example FXALL, it is not possible to set a Stop Loss.

another somebody shot their mouth before doing their research....

besides SOMEBODY needs to learn what position Squareoff means.....

it simply means if you hold a Buy of so many lots, you place a new order of Sell the same amount of lots will actuall square your position and close the trade...

a pending sell order works the same.

Do you honestly think that? No, in the next 4 hours, I see a decline for the EUR/USD (provided of course, US data doesn't sink the value of the dollar).

the ZEW is basically a survey of some 300+ economists and analysts who pitch their opinions about Germany's economic status in the next half year.

Do you honestly think that the information wouldn't be leaked? That out of the hundreds of people involved in a private survey, there isn't one who would think "hey, I could pocket a tidy bit of cash by spreading the word to a select audience!"?

Shorting EUR/USD. Awaiting test around the 1.2400 margin for intraday trading.

Edit: Yes, there's potential for the pair to still move up a few dozen pips. But I wouldn't risk it. Not with the EUR/USD at extremely overbought intraday levels and a continuing bearish trend. It's going to fall, and it's going to fall more than the "100 pips" that Myo described. The only question is when the retail traders run out of bullish confidence.

True, but I don't have this options available, neither Stop Loss nor Algorithmic orders.

Not sure why, probably because I do not have a relationship with a bank inside of FXALL.

Then sell eurusd.
i don't participate in discussions whether some data point "leaked" or not. it's futile, if you can't prove it.
