Let me what I know before you become a **** about it.
You sell an exotic currency say you sell EUR/TRY @2.80, with the hope/belief that that country's currency will appreciate against some majors say EUR in this case due to fiscal policies in place or economic developments. You get a positive swap daily for your short EUR/TRY and expect the exotic currency to appreciate vs EUR. The main problem is: If things didn't turn out as planned, these currencies will move in tons of pips against ur position over night. ( Check how USDTRY rallied 1.5k in less then a month) So, u will need to find another currency to hold long or the same one with lower swap to make the difference. So, at the end - Even if it doesn't apprecate as much as you had hoped for, you realise the profit you make from the positive swap and close both positions after some time.

This is called arbitrage trading in the FX world, which even Japanese housewives perform very well. While what you are promoting is " naked buying / selling ", which could be great if u turn out right, but disastrous if u were caught in the wrong direction.

Now just behave and stop drinking & take two alcasetzer before you go to bed with. Drink as much water as you can for dehydration. I may call you one day if I do need some advice about where to visit in Netherlands.

Too many people have tried it, most of them did not succeed.
Lots of them died, a very few really got it, like the founders of Goldman and a few others.

Thats not arbitrage trading...
thats called Carry trade....

A little something for you from the dummies guide book about arbitrage trading...
Widening of 2 different treasury yield's Spread is and betting that the yield spread will tighten back is called arbitrage trading....
very often the tightening happens very rapidly....

As for your Buy the Exotic and Hold till kingdom come... thats called a reverse carry trade.... Borrowing the EURO at low interest rates then use euro to buy turkish lira to receive high interest rate is exactly what people used to do with say.... AUDJPY.... Buying the AUD giving out 2.5% while you borrow JPY at near 0% interest....

Time you learned something before you call people a fraud....

You make me laugh, that's a good point.

Now arbitrage my friend is an administrative difference in price.
Say you can buy Euros in Amsterdam for $1.24 okay? You sell them at the same moment for $1.25 in Singapore.

That is arbitrage, nothing more or less, no appreciation or devaluation involved.

hmmmm i just wonder.... remembered it perfectly clear... was long the USDCHF at 0.8 back around 2011, London had riots in Hackney at that time i remember and my family and i were on a trip there that time, held on to it till it rebounded back to 0.9 to take profit.... was a scary drawdown though....
