That nagging feeling...

...when you enter a trade and then read that TAH has gone the opposite way.

Entered on lower time frame after close of 11/10/2014 daily pinbar.
SL= 50 pips above RDH
TP = RDL

It is starting to drop now. No telling how far down - given enough time - this might go. Be reasonable with daily targets. On the other hand, keep this in mind too......

Here is a "Classic" Lesson!

What "tah" did:

1. Eagerly went long on very low TF chart early in the open of the new week (wrong, wrong, and wrong again).
2. Was so sure of bulls, he stated he would add at "good opportunities" if they came (predicting, and arrogantly so = wrong and wrong again).
3. And he did (and he did it all wrong!).

What a smart Sonicer would have done:

1. Finding signs of the "bull", await the coming LS for a possible Classic long setup.

The point of this is:

Look closely at the chart. The smart Sonicer had the same, or better entry than "tah" averaged by adding to his trade in the red! Without all the fuss and stress!

I was trying hard to believe GBPJPY will be in bear... and I got a margin call.

very sad.

Bloodied in Battle!

Sonicers,

I do not think any trader escapes getting bloodied in battle at least once, and usually more than once. Getting a margin call and losing money is not the same as being a child and putting your fingers on the hot burner of a stove. Most children need only to have that experience once to learn the lesson well enough to never repeat it! We traders are not as smart as children, apparently.

But, it is what it is. I can say this with confidence. We traders are all in the same boat here, and one of two things is most likely to happen:
1. Eventually, we will have had this happen enough times to become more disciplined about letting trades get too red, or
2. We will run out of money.

Master Sonicdeejay has stated (regarding EU, but applicable to all) to use a SL, but a wide one, but not wider than 100 pips. We all need to gauge what degree of SL to use - to let our trades "breathe" - based on our accounts, and to not let our trades run wild and get out of hand. Losing money this way is painful, and so we need to use the experience to learn, to decide and to come back with resolve, so as to stop repeating it!

EURUSD:

This seems to be a Classic long setup, but..... with a little more than 1 hour left in the LS, and the dragon is still flat, adding to the question of will it run today. EUR high impact releases are still almost two days off. This could end up ranging until then. If it does go up before, it could come down again before (Stop Hunting).

Right now there is increased activity in the MR1 area, which might be the MMs closing their longs for the day. Nice TP selection.

great thanks to sonic and TAH, got a good profit from the system. close the trade now as hitting the tp. also the vol is increasing. seems the MM close their longs aswell.

As the LS draws to a close, the MMs are whipping the price back up (low volume = pump for purpose of getting price higher). As previously posted, this could go a good ways lower. Personally, I am looking for this retrace up to go higher, and later present a Classic short re-entry setup. I might use a short Scout to open a new trade, depending on how this pump goes.

xxxJPY Pairs:


Sonicers,

Today the MMs whipped prices higher. This time, there is a lot of activity at the highs, the closing of longs. These pairs deserve to be put on watch now, because we could be seeing the start of the final closing of longs and rebuilding with shorts. Look at GBPJPY....

This pair shows higher activity once the MMs got the price above the half number. And this higher activity has been sustained throughout the entire LS! This is reason enough to suspect the MMs might be switching from bulls to bears, and that the most recent pumps on the xxxJPY pairs were orchestrated not by bullish bulls, but by bearish bulls that want out of their longs!
