Good Morning All,

The 146 points gap is a good sign that Dax is headed to the 10.000 again.. this could be an omen that we will reach there before the end of this year..

beware: we will se huge orders during the xetra opening auction in the components from institutional investors. i don´t think this is a day to play gap-close.

ofcore i watch out..one short closed at TP 26pips still have the one from 9313 moved stop at +20.I'm not sure how long i'm gona keep it.

As with Dow / S&P, this morning's high was ~ the R 2 level - I'm short, looking for R1 at 9238 - or at minimum a 38% retrace to the 9250 area....

and I banked......it went a little lower to ~a 58% retrace vs Dow / S&P ~ 40%......weak German Retail Sales will probably hold Dax back vs US Indices, so I would look there for a bigger bounce.....

cons to those who collected points this morning with short - my trades where clearly motivated by "trade what you think"
this happens somtimes when someone has a run - good to have this antidote...

Frankfurt, 31. Okt – Der Handel auf Xetra ist am Freitagvormittag unterbrochen worden. Grund hierfür seien technische Probleme, teilte der Betreiber Deutsche Börse auf seiner Internet-Seite mit. Betroffen seien alle Wertpapiere wie zum Beispiel Aktien oder börsennotierte Fonds (ETFs). Dazu, wie lange die Unterbrechung dauere, machte die Deutsche Börse zunächst keine Angaben.

Ich spreche ein wenig Deutsch Even though English is germanic. Entschuldigung. What's your opinion on the outage d1?

Frankfurt, 31. Okt (Reuters) – Technische Probleme haben das Handelssystem Xetra der Deutschen Börse am Freitag vorübergehend lahmgelegt. Die Vorhandelsphase laufe ab 10.50 Uhr, teilte der Börsenbetreiber am Vormittag. Ab 11.20 Uhr würden mindestens fünf Minuten lang die Gebote für die Auktion zur Wiedereröffnung des regulären Handels angenommen. Um kurz nach zehn Uhr hatte die Deutsche Börse bekanntgegeben, dass Xetra ausgefallen sei

last time xetra was down in may 2012 for round about 1 h

funny to see a senior member kidding around about the outage on the other thread. hindsight and conspirancy theory make me wonder if this is just a psychological technique to cope with heavy trading losses due to overnight risk everytime i read that silly stuff.
