the impact of news on a currency is a subjective thing, it depends on many things. Just because a number is better or worse than expected you have to figure in trend of statistic and if that remains intact, what was thought to be priced into the market already, what the mood of the market is already, where the market is in the current ranges and how important that statistic is compared with the others currently influencing the price.

QE3 was ended Wednesday, as expected, when the Fed announced it would be eliminating open market operations.

They did indicate that current (record-low) interest rates would remain in place for the foreseeable future, though most analysts expect a mid-2015 rate rise.

Strong GDP numbers and solid jobs numbers also give a positive outlook for the US economy, even as the world economy slows.

So expect EURUSD to reach 1.25 in a couple of days and given enough time it may eyeball the 1.20 handle.

We reached resistence, i closed my long on usdjpy just now. I will re-enter buy if a i find a good price.


the weakness should last in the future but large retrace can happen before future upside.

This move in the yen,some 230-240 pips, while impressive for today, is nothing compare to some of the action in the past, take a look for yourself...
