With all due respect, I am wondering whether this AU Short is qualified as Sonic R short? I don't see a H-L-LH setup before your entry. Your GU short entry earlier at least has that H-L-LH wave.

NZDUSD Short Trade Open:

M15 Classic. Late in LS and PA wave is a bit different from "best", but Dragon is down and Trend is down.

The suggestion here is that you specify the exact TF for which there is the setup that you are trading. For example, if you post the M15 chart for a setup based on the M1 chart, please specify that the setup is on the M1 chart. Future readers of the thread will find it much less confusing if you will do this.

AUDUSD Short Trade Open:

M15 Classic entry on price retrace to setup EP zone.

There is a nice - but tight - three wave bear pattern starting at the highs of the US session today. My thinking is that the run down was genuine short selling - MMs building short positions - and now they are manipulating the price back up to resume doing more of the same ahead of the coming AUD high impact release in the next Asian session. No TP/SL at this time.

AUDJPY Short Trade Open:

M15 Classic, post-LS, as price retraced upwards. This is looking bearish to me due to the heavy activity above the whole number today (PVSRA = bears). And there is a AUD high impact release coming in the next Asian session. So,.......I decided to take on a short trade of this one. No TP. No SL because the Asian session MMs might Whip N' Whack it - Stop Hunt shorts - when the time comes.

Well I've set up an automated trading using this system, for 6-12 months my profit has reached 20x from my initial deposit!
But FYI I was using the old system (template + indicators), but now when I switched to the new system, my balance goes down, it even touched the bottom of Bikini Bottom!

Now I don't know what went wrong, I guess I had to do my homework and go to the basic again....

The "new system", as you call it, is no different from the "old system". The Dragon is technically the same. The Trend is technically the same. And the "Rules of Engagement" are technically the same. The upgraded indicators/templates are to make the charts visually more appealing and comprehensible.

I find it amazing that you present yourself as sharp enough to "...set up an automated trading using this system...", yet not sharp enough to see that nothing has changed! And, you have been at Forex Factory for two years, supposedly having great success with your "automated" system based on the Sonic R. System, and in all that time you have not posted or shared anything with the community of Sonicers?

Anyway, EAs do not work in the long run. Lazy people think, or hope they do. Sometimes they work for a while, giving false hope. And all the while that lazy people work with EAs, they could instead become competent traders! Alas! Laziness in this business is for losers, and the results are not good. And EAs are nothing but an easy way to get those results.

Well to be honest, I don't entirely understand with the explanations on Page #1 because there're lots of instructions and links, I better understand things like 'if A is more than B then do C for D times when E is higher than F but below than G'.
Ah yes, I'm very sorry about that.. I didn't visit the forum daily, maybe I visit the forum on weekly or monthly basis..

In the meantime, my broker has changed lots of it's regulations, maybe that's the reason of my downfall though, not this system..
Well.. the reason I tried to write EA because I believe EA can substitute my human desire, fear, expectation, and the worst part, greed...

However , back to the topic . EURUSD had shown significant L - H - HL - HH ~ even at higher time frame like H1 and H4 .
Now here's my point off view and would like Prof. TAH , Gupito and anyone to take a look at it . Standing out and looking a bit back in time , I think I can say that this MIGHT BE ( I used the word MIGHT BE , no one is 100% right ) actually just a PROFIT TAKING PERIOD for the MMs as they already load short at the peak of the price long ago .


My opinion was that it might still be on the downtrend and is best to still continue shorting EURUSD . H4 showed ranging and MIGHT breakout towards the downside at the moment of this post .

Yes it is easier if there is a discrete rule of the system where if A is more than B then do C kind of thing but that's exactly the fallacy of EA that TAH mentioned earlier. It might work for a while but I still think that EA should be a secondary method of trading, not primary.

I use an EA based on pivot that I let run overnight while I'm sleeping but I sure as hell won't use that when I'm awake.

I feel that understanding how price moved is essential and you can't really replicate that with an automated system as there are too many moving parts and discretionary decision making that only humans can do.

Of course you can setup an automated system with good risk to reward ratio and basically just playing the statistical numbers game but you won't ever understand why that trade is a winner or a loser and ultimately you can't trade without said EA in the future.

EURUSD:

Others can speak for themselves, but personally, I do not know which way this will be going. And therefore, for me anyway, it is best to just stick to Classic setups - good ones - and not overstay my welcome in the trade.

The Week chart shows this has been in a rip roaring down move of late. It also shows that maybe a bottom has been made. The Week chart can be viewed as suggesting the overall trend is still up, but that the move down of late has simply taken price to the bottom of a channel.

There are USD and EUR releases coming this week. Maybe the MMs are rushing the price to lows because: 1) they are building in the "news" that is to be released, or 2) they are forcing the price lower to build long before the "news" is released, after which they will slam prices back up?

We simply cannot know how the MMs will move price next.

EURJPY Long Trade Open:

Two M1 Classic entries, pre-LS, to start with, after the MMs had returned the price to the whole number area, dipped it below and then strongly bought it up.
Then two more Scout entries on M1 as the MMs worked the price back down towards the whole number.
Finally, one more Scout entry on M1 as the MMs suddenly whacked the price below the whole number again.

The basis for this trade is the strong recovery on the first move below the whole number, and then the first retrace below the whole number also with a strong recovery, as shown on M15, which suggests to me the MMs are now accumulating long orders (PVSRA = bulls) .

The first two M1 based entries were okay per the Rules of Engagement. The several Scout M1 entries were "adding while trade is red" violations of the Rules of Engagement. However, the extenuating circumstance for this violation is the strong recovery of price after the MMs manipulated it deep below the whole number - to the 3/4 level - as seen on M15.

Probably not an intentional target, but simply an overshoot of the half number. Or, maybe and simply an overshoot of the DS1 pivot. My chart shows a low of 0.87403, not 0.87460.

Anyway, after that first bout of short selling, the MMs have pumped the price back up - give 'er a look of bullishness - and have resumed accumulation of shorts. Just my opinion.
