edit: notice on the last picture the bottom two baskets are out of sync. they are the same baskets and on another instance of mt4 are in sync, albiet in the 300 range. this is the major problam i am facing with basket inconsistencies. theres no rhyme or reason to when they go out of sync and/or how to get them back

It is NOT a problem.
Every basket you create has a starting point of 300 - no matter what timeframe you use or what the contents of the baskets are.
The only way to try and synch up your charts (which is pointless) is to shut down your MT4 terminals for some time and then restart. This will bring them all back to the 300 level but they will not be identical as each chart is loaded at slightly different times.
It matters not if you use 2 pairs or 20 pairs in your basket - starting level is always 300.

Hi Allammof,

Thanks for placing me among the seniors in your write up, I am more than honoured indeed. The main guys are the likes of Seller9, Hukam and Korpra to mention but a few. I see you have grasp the fundamentals on how to trade the basket. Three pairs or four at most pair basket and take note of news and note the pair from the major six it will affect and create your basket. Use the indicator for % increase and note the time of the trading session. If you bear these points in mind, you will come up trumps. If you want to be adventurous, don't leave out the Add To Trade button function. Set at 15 pips per pair and up to 3 to 4 times additions will easily turn a 50 pip move in to 120 to 200 pips for your basket. Demo this and see the beauty of it. Aim for lower pip basket range but double up on using the add to trade function. No home runs.

It works but do some demo to get use to it as you can add to trade some times and the trend turns on you. Pre London and London early sessions are the best I have found out. Late New York is also good to monitor.

i cannot use templates on charts that are not in sync and trying to trade from them is a nightmare, so to me this is a super major problem, even though everything is going fine in some instances of mt4 i am running(albiet the weekly and monthly charts are not in sync). i just want to know how to fix things when it happens, and restarting mt4 does not solve the problem btw lol. this has been discussed off and on again here for months and is common to both basket indis not just basketcreate

maybe it is happening server-side? it depends on the instance of mt4. an instance of mt4 will generally produce charts in sync, but when it does not there will be little to change them and no explanation so far how or why it happens. some charts go in the 15000 range(using basketv btw), others in the 600 range, others in 300 range. either way, when the mt4 instance is not in sync, it stays exactly at that setting forever, and same when it is in sync, it will stay perfectly in sync. some are a bit of both. it is frustrating to not know what will happen should you want to install a new mt4 or most importantly to not be able to use multi-charts as it is because of these glitches

i get that long term multi-chart trading is not common with the basket crowd so that would explain the lack of interest in solving this. i might have to go back to boring single pair trading then : /

Firstly, let me tell you my weakness....that I can't understand much if somebody write something without showing anything.
So, it is quite difficult for me to help or give opinion to solve exactly of your problematic issue.
[EDIT: sorry, I didn't notice you already attached your screenshots on previous page.]
I'm more guessing rather than able to give exact solutions.
So, I will try my best to help you to solve your issue base on my understanding as BT EA user.

It is quite difficult to sync all the historical data in same range, values and price in multiple TF with many pairs in one offline chart.
Since not all the historical data are able to update due to many issues that related to:
1. broker server,
2. MT4 performance,
3. BT EA handling,
4. corrupt and heavy customized indicators and EA (if you use different indicator rather than BT EA specific indis and EA)
5. disruption of internet connection and so forth.

I think this issue is quite subjective because we can't see from where the issue came from until we see our chart become a bit confusing.
What I always did is to let my MT4 ON for the whole 5 trading day so that I can get best historical data updated continuously to avoid unsync issue to it's worst.
You also can use VPS as an alternative to solve or to reduce unsync issue.

You also can check at Windows>History Center and then copy all history data from all TF, then shift the data to spreadsheet.
From there you can detect where and when the history data is not updated by your broker.
You may contact your broker to solve if this problem persist as lagging price issue.

this screenshot shows that not all pair are updated according and timely even with same TF.
This is due to broker server not performing as it is.

Someone can help me. I followed VDO getting started step by step. I struck when take EA "Basket_writer_v3_670". In expert tab show "uninit reason8". What should i do?

Either you don't have all pairs enabled in the market watch window or your Broker does not have all 28 pairs that are needed.

CADCHF is missing.

i do notice that by deleting the server file in the problem mt4 and copying the hst files of the offline charts from a working mt4 that i can recreate the same charts but they will revert back as soon as the mt4 logs in : / so i know there is something to do with the server. but the problem that cannot be solved with restarting or leaving mt4 on or any other tactics i have tried is, when an mt4 shows out of sync charts it will remain that way parmanently. conversely if the mt4 shows charts in sync, it will also remain this way permanently. some will also show some charts in sync and others not, permanently. but as to what instance of mt4 will do what is a mystery. unfortunately without being able to know how to fix things there is no way i can continue basket trading because i can't place a template made on a monthly chart on any other chart if the scale/price is different nor be able to trade with them : (

shame because i absolutely love it more than single pair trading. again i sense that since nobody uses baskets for long term multi-chart trading there will be not enough interest in finding a solution. i do hope the gurus respond to this

It only can make MT4 become funny like Jerry Lewis....lol
I've done that before bro.

I am quite lucky because my broker did admit some server error if I'm having price lagging or server not sync with my platform.
Since it seems that your sync issue so chronic, why don't you test a demo platform from other broker bro.

I only can admit this issue a big problem if most of us having such issue like you.
As for me, I feel like a KING when I trade with BT EA.
My SnR work perfectly until now and it give an edge to win big pips almost everyday.

So far I don't know if people decline to use BT EA or basket trading due to any related issue unless they're quite unilateral in computer knowledge
and also not familiar with MT4 features and functions. They also don't have enough time to practice and impatience to learn due to their time constraint.

I would like to suggest you to contact directly to seller9 due to your handicap and I believe he will advise you accordingly.

I was going through some of the old chart clips and postings you made in the past and wanted to say if you are able to, post these sort of charts as they are more educational and interactive than the recent ones which most of the newer traders here may not be able to relate to. i have seen these problems in three different brokers going back many months, and basketv has its own set of problems as well. this has been discussed by other members also but nobody is showing any interest because the predominant method throughout this thread is not for long term multi-chart trading. rather it is about picking pairs from a list and starting fresh every day/week

btw, i also felt like a king this week in another mt4, trading two baskets by picking pairs from last weeks pip list, but i also enjoy long term chart trading on one or two baskets as well and for that i like to have multi charts. i wanted to do both, using the weekly wildcard picks to go along with my longer term mainstay baskets

You have good standing to trade long term basket trading opportunities.
If I have that margin capabilities, I also will trade for longer period like weekly or monthly basis and fully automated.
So I can conclude that most of us here trade for short period due to margin status/MM.
Then I have no doubt we have no tertiary experience for long term basket trading and its own issues rather than a short term one.

I hope somebody can help you to solve your specific issues soon because I also know that trade a single pair is like swimming in a pool without water...lol
