black swans are unpredictable by definition, so i donīt think ebola will be a reason (ok, thereīs an effect on transportation/airlines).
also, this correction was not unforeseeable imao.

well I think some people have 'insider info' on the black swan ie the australians knew they were swimming around in the 1600s, it just took the rest of the world a while to cotton on to the fact they existed.....
edit: for australians read the original ones ie aborigines

Ata - quite right in your comment about property. I'ts just a psychological thing with some people. If they bought a house for Ģ100k and it's now worth Ģ120k they feel good. If it's only worth Ģ80k they feel lousy. But in both cases if it's your home and you're not going to sell, then it doesn't really matter.

Just a word to all those who, like me, trade with very tight stop losses, ie 10 pips or so. I've found that I've had to increase the size of this a few pips during the last few days as the increased range puts a 10 pip SL too close to entry, and I enter on a 10 second TF. I also think that anyone using an arbitrary points total to take profits, could well increase this to suit the conditions. Just a suggestion. That's it for me today, it's my son's birthday, and we are going to lazer quest! Trade safe!

I think you are right, the market is moving more now than 6-8 weeks ago with ATRs almost doubling, one should adjust to suite and adjust back after this period.
