Thanks for your view Citiboy. Its become more obvious to me over the past while that some fundi's helps for tech traders to have the bigger picture. I have been watching some of what you mentioned, but couldn't decide on a direction on the pair based on everything pointing down on both currencies..

CAD is the new AUD of early Sept. Most of those oil sands operations have break evens not far from current prices in oil. If we keep declining canadian oil operations are going to be in a world of pain just like the higher cost iron ore miners were last month with the iron ore selloff took AUD way down

Its a long shot... but you gotta wonder if we will be able to hike rates any time in the next decade given the demographics, federal debt and technology induced deflation


The Fed's inflation target probably should actually be closer to 0.5% given the circumstances that have unfolded only over the last 15 years ot so.... a 2% target is way too ambitious as long as China produces so much of our imports.
