Ah thanks.-Any reason why you move the stop at all ( apart from the obvious ) as this will may times get you out of many winning trades.Also due to the spread you are paying this will also shake you out of the trade early if you constantly move your stop towards the market price??
Just a thought.

When to move the stop is THE question and I don't know the best answer! - and yes, I do get taken out, but then I will re-enter if I think the move is continuing...also, I often trade with two entries, one of which will have a wider stop and target....

Out of interest, does anyone here use a price ladder for FDAX?
With regards to stop moving, for me (don't take this as advice lol) it depends on whether there have a few winning trades prior to the current position. If yes, stop will be moved toward BE (and beyond) more slowly than had there been a few losers prior to the current position. Not very scientific, and probably emotional. Helps me sleep at night though
