if you look at the last 5 years the same pattern has occurred. A steep rise followed by a couple of months of bouncing up and down until a triangle pattern occurs and breaks out north again.

ABE will continue to say economic is improving and 2% inflation is on track and will monitor closely the weakening of the YEN and the impact of sale tax.

Sound like a broken recorder.....

After the news....UJ will continue the upward trend in a few days time.

half of my winnings for the past month was wiped out last week, total loss of 150pips for 2 trades. i find this pair very difficult to trade, all mixed data.

For me looks like much better short to try. Pending order Sell 109.30 SL 109.50 and TP 108.90.

looks good for you...

my view on this pair is like groping blindly in the dark, you will lose in the long term. no tech analysis only fundamental playing.

We can't say that yet. Remember, this pair did the same thing last week, then quickly rebounded to the 109.75 area.

That rebound was from NFP news.

Doesn't look like there is going to be any impactful news today & tomorrow to cause a rebound. It's all emotion at play now.

A trend showing a drop of more than 100pips in a day should not be taken lightly. It's taking a great toll on those with weak heart and let emotion takes control over the mind.

For the time being, the move looks to me like retail traders are getting shaken out and institutions are buying wholesale in the 108.40 to 108 area as the retail weak hands stops are being hit. Then price will go back up. Wash rinse repeat. FOMC minutes wednesday and all the other news coming this week, I would not be suprised atall if 109 and beyond is not revisited.

I havnt set the order yet but im half tempted to place a buy at 108.45 SL 107.95 and TP 109.30. If price stays around this area after NY close I may revisit this trade idea.

Actully. I will go ahead and set pending order. Buy at 108.45, SL 107.95 and TP of 109.50
