Connecting the two lows today, gives us a trendline with a value at 2677 right now.. could halt it. If turn before that, i would consider it bullish..

I started trading in November 2012 and consistently lost money through to Christmas '13. I stopped over the New Year break and only really started up again - having examined what I was doing and, hopefully, finding out where I was going wrong - in about May this year. Touch wood, my results have been massively better, in that I am making a small profit at the moment.

OK, histroy out of the way, my question: disregarding all the technicals and fundamentalsl, gut feels and expectations, what I want to know is; at what point will I grow the balls to allow my trade to run through to its TP rather than closing it early because I've lost the bottle? I can't remember the last time that I didn't either close early or get stopped out.

Here's aperfect example: I'm currently selling EurUSD, from 2699 with a TP at 2666.
But . . . I have to go out in about 10 minutes so, in my mind, I'd be better taking the 20 pips I have now rather than come back in at 7pm and find I've losty the bloody lot . . . again. But I believe that it will go down to 2666.

Possible Short signal in the EURUSD forming, but the colour of the current 4hr candlestick when it closes in just a little over an hour will determine the action.

Get a smart phone and load your broker's software. Set alerts. (It's really cool to get an alert while out and about.)

might want to check that candle close time. different brokers screw us with different times.

you mentioned 4h candlestick. it may be debatable, but a 4h using 5 est start, will not line up till 2 more hs, at 1pm est. if you have a better one please share.

you are ofcourse correct, but as i mentioned...it doesn't matter when your candle closes, when u
u have an entry signal, honour your signal and take it.

what i found was that sometimes my signal gives me a better/earlier entry and sometimes a later or worse entry than brokers that have other closes...it really doesn't matter as long as your trade signal is in the direction of the major or longer trend.

i use FXCM and FXPro amongst others...u can also checkout FXPro for another different close.
