Thats the super cautious place to put it? That way if you are right and price returns then you are automatically in the market with it.

I will take another look at it before UK open.

Hmm, it's run into a bit of resistance trying to push into 109.xx. It's also stretched away quite a bit from moving averages on many time frames. In my opinion, it's time for the market to digest the FOMC news and prepare for the next Japanese sales tax hike. Right now, price is too high to the top to make a substantial buy, but the bull train has proven so strong that taking a short is a legitimate risk. Yet S&P continues to soar to unsustainable levels and rumors of overexposed dollar longs are rampant. Will the US news this week fuel the pair into another record high, or is this a short term top for bulls to take some profit before 118.xx?

In the country where I come from, we have a very popular saying in modern times: 포기해. 포기하면 편해.

When translated, roughly means this: Give up. It's easier for you if you just give up.

I'm guessing you already have a few longs from the weeks before, and you might have already reloaded at the 108.6 mark. You have have a nice tidy profit guaranteed for the week. If that's the case, there's no need to add further misery to your beleaguered mind by taking additional risks in this pair, given that it could go low as 108.3 or even 107.4. Why not wait until there's a movement for the next resistance (109.5)? You can always short later

the crucial thing is that the unwinding of bond buying will end in october, i see strength in usd until then.

109.10 becomes important level to trigger additional rally into the USDJPY pair, while the break of 108.70 negates the near-term up-move of the pair by making it vulnerable to test sub 107 levels.

Good advice. Overall, I am still short the yen, but I would really like a pullback so I can open another solid long . Right now, I am just trading some very small positions (dipping my toes in the water to feel for any sink holes) in case the market continues the rally. While I won't make as much as I would have had I held my previous longs, I'll still squeeze out a little more profit. If it does retrace sooner rather than later, I'll gladly martingale it and hold for the rest of the year, if not more so.

USDJPY very bullish, Targets are 110.35 / 111.22.
need to hold 108.57 / 108.31..
