hello symphonie-believers and a special hello to our creator, eval

i am since long time a quiet reader and i just can say thanks thanks thanks eval for this wonderfull system!
i also dont want to bother long time, cause just like eval said 2 posts before, "using Symphonie Trader System is a Art as much as Science.
Therefore, all I can offer you is that You will have to play with the settings on the Symphonie matrix to find what works best for you."

..and i am doing since nearly one year now...
and maybe everybody who do, can understand that one or another day, u just have enough of looking lines, dots and candlesticks...
therefore, i just wanted to put short attention to this EA-Thread again, to maybe find some able, interessted users..

http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...95#post7742395

..and then im already away again...

wish all of u much luck and happyness in life!
balance is the key

Hi all traders,

I like zerberi for a long time followed this thread passively from the sidelines.

Now I thought it was time to mingle a bit and say great thanks to our all-time-trader-hero inventor Evaluator - and it seems like it couldn't be more fortunate since the system turned ''drei jahren alt'' .

Acc. to the inventor - Eval - it really says a lot about a person when being willing to give away something so unique. It shows how great persons can ''nourish'' themselves from the happiness of others - and by happiness I mean ''to feel participant of something extraordinary''.

Earlier I have acted according to the old Symphonie system. But now I am back and I have recently noticed the new version. And on this occasion, I have some questions I thought someone might be able to answer. Otherwise, I am pleased to be a part of this debate.

The questions are ongoing;

1. In post #17,089 you - Eval says - that your pending order was cancelled. This I do not understand because the price of the next bar falls below the bar with the arrow which triggered the signal. Should it not be a BE or even a loss?

2. Are people still trading this system only? And can it be traded if only followed by the rules written in post #1? If so - does it then still show the same profitability of the trials written in the very first post.

3. I know that people have talked about the different exit points. You (Eval) write of course that a trend change in the matrix is a no excecute on a pending order. But let's assume that you have started a position - which is set to BE +1 as it has been for +10 pips profit. Will you then wait to go out on a trend change? or just let it run and trail the BE? I mean the profitability of this system may depend heavily on the exit methodologies of the different persons trading it.

4. Since I am studying law full time I am unable to trade the system the whole day - so when will then be best to trade it? (I live in Denmark).

5. In post #16,333 you (Eval) write that it is good to use pending orders. And you write that the first trade due to the BE gets you out of +1. But that's because you have not made a pending order and a market order instead? - visually it seems to be the case? - or am I wrong? Because if it had been a pending order it looks like you wouldn't have been out ... and then you would have been in profit? As I understand I think you made a market order and the actual purpose with the post together with the image is to illustrate the importance from the use of pending orders?

6. If you get more signals in sequence, which is in the same direction will you take EVERY trade and consider each of them as a trade for themselves?

But again I can not thank enough for the good thread. I would be very grateful if you - Eval/or others would answer the questions. If not - I then of course also fully understand. I will soon start to demo trade. Just have to find the best place to register for a demo acc. and a potentially later real acc.

- written in my best-known German from highschool.

Hope u all are ready to pound the markets later to day!

Gruß Anders the trader from Denmark

hmm, a gouds fränkisches bierla.. erst nachdem ich nach mexico ausgewandert bin, weiß ich, wie wertvoll es ist

zu deinen fragen gekko (to your questions):

first, everybody sucessfull developed a own style with symphonie i think.

just look what tradingstyle, which indicators (leading and following) and which TF fits best to you (or u "like" most)
then just try to combine with symphonie and adjust the settings to your style.
i only can say after one year testing and livetrading, that every TF and every pair have its own settings and entry/exit rules, also what SL,TP,BE u use.
but also i can say, u can trade every TF and everything tradable with symphonie.

i f.e. use in most times just symphonie v4.4, heikenashiMTF and few MAs, nothing else.
but always with different rules...

to 1. no lo sé^^

to 2. market and so also the profitability changes^^
just try to adapt to your style and fav indicators

to 3. really, every pair and TF have own rules and better fitting indicators (settings) then other..
i was starting with only one pair in one TF and when i was save there ,i expand to other TFs, then pairs, and so on.

to 4. Tokio: 1-10 Uhr (MEZ) London: 8-18 Uhr (MEZ) New York: 14-22 Uhr (MEZ) Sydney: 22-7 Uhr (MEZ)
just answers itself no the overlapping times are most active. i like, cause of news and my timezone f.e. 13-22 most. just find yours
(and also, depends on the pair)
hmm, i remember, http://www.babypips.com/school/ have suuper statistica about all that, just make your graduation there first

other thing, hey, lets make an EA, i postet a good basic here: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...95#post7742395

to 5. charts are like drugs, always depends on the set on setting^^
to can react flexible and intuivite just like the situation needs is a skill what comes with the time i think, hard to explain always...
(just never forget your SL

to 6. if already a "long road" of valid signals no, sometimes after another valid signal with break between yes.
(just like u feel the market...)

greetings to denmark
zerbi

ps: i the attached pic u have f.e. minimum 5 different tradingposibilities, even without looking on symphonie
(white stuff only to explain my EA-idea, but just look f.e. how nice MA3 and then MA2 is fitting there, super for TPs and SL, to retail or scalp, and so on^^)

just for a "simple" understanding of connect symphonie in your personal system. (in this case simple MAs and heiken),
cause something u need beside of symphonie (my thinking)

and also just example to show that always depending if instant open order, or a buy/sell stop, or even a buy/sell limit.
also u can see that TPs and SLs are flexible. Here u simply can use the MAs, short under the MAs for buy, short over, if sell for the SLs
easy as it is also just like spontan is good to have fibo&co in the pocket

also a BE of 10pips, u see, in M5 not really rentable. the first 2,3 trades would end with BE, so, better to have 3 or 30pips?
(and to wait for a 30pips jump, u wait in M5 longer then for 3x10pips trades
so, higher TF, u can think about more pips

also tradingtime important, E/U now 20-30pips in the 1.session, 20pips in the ami-session, sleeping in the asia..^^

sum all together and u understand, everything is a art for itself. find your art, your melody, your symphonie

nice day para el mundo,
zerbi

People have been asking for better explain how to use Symphonie. DO NOT think that Symphonie is the Holy Grail...IT IS NOT! I will be the first to tell you that one. However, forex is all about making educated and calculated decisions on when to buy or sell. Symphonie is your marker....as I explained in post#1 on when you have the best opportunity to enter the market to make pips. (Symphonie System box see post#1)

For example, I trade 1hr and 15 min timeframes but I also use dailys for my market directional bias. Additionally, market patterns are also helpful to know and understand to determine where a market is failing to advance or bouncing to make another rise. (See post#1 for helpful links on market patterns). When you combine these two one can get a better understanding of the market and where it is heading and more importantly how Symphonie will tell you the best points to enter the market to take advantage of the direction entry points or stay away because the market is consolidation for next move.

As one can see I have two charts for this example 15min on top and 1hr on bottom. I am using standard settings but modify as you feel most comfortable. I know I do so I do change settings from time to time as to adjust to market mood swings. However, if you look at the 15min; it gives me a klassik market failure pattern (Head and Shoulders...look it up ) At this point I know the market is failing to advance but I want Symphonie to confirm the market failure and where/when is the best time to enter to avoid consolidation pain.

So, over the past two days I have made 2 trades both that are still open (explain why in a moment) using the 1hr chart as my bias entry guage and the 15min to pinpoint my exact entry is how I play it. I entered the market and then let the market do the rest.

Why did I not exit on a counter 1Hr signal? Good questions, that is where the daily charts come into play. If there is a strong movement on the 1Hr chart then I look to the daily charge to see if the order is at a prime spot on the daily chart of a much larger move. In this case, it was and so I left the orders open and let the profits ride after securing a stoploss that will be at profit. As to the time of this posting and using the Symphonie ARS value...guess what...This account is now 40% larger just on two orders.

Can it be that simple? Yes and No. Yes it can be if you know what to look for and use Symphone religiously. No it is not that simply because there is alot to keep up with. (i.e. patterns, resistance and support levels, different time frames, etc...) But it can be done!

Again, using the Symphonie Trader System is both a science and an art. (with some luck)

Now get out there and MAKE SOME PIPS!!!

Evaluator.:nerd:

P.S. A trick I learned as well....I explain in post#1. When you have a Symphonie signal look for a 50% retracement (bounce for sell or drop from buy) and that is your entry level because the market usually makes an attempt to bounce and this it fails to stop the original move. It works most of the time but not always. Again, forex is all about calculated decisions.

Here is an example of a trade setup for today that I have been watching. Symphonie 1Hr give me bias direction (down via Extreme) so, I will not make any buys only sells and then I wait for the right conditions I.E. a Symphonie Signal (15min) that breaks and closes below ''the line in the sand'' support level. That would make a valid signal with the greatest potential to make PIPS.

Best of Luck

Evaluator:nerd:

UPDATE: SOLD EURUSD at 1.27300 as price breaks line for 3rd time.
